View Full Version : Boston Herald picks the David Carr Titans

apparently someone is making picks but doesn't follow the NFL.Tennessee (-1 ½ ) over HOUSTON - These teams have each lost several talented players to injury, so it is tough to get a read on the game. If Vince Young cannot play, backup David Carr should be a bit sharper after playing last week, and you know he’d love to get a crack at his old Texans teammates.

This has to be good luck, I mean, eventually all this media karma has to come around and translate into something great for the Texans.

This probably garuntees our win on sunday.

I think other than getting all of their facts wrong and not knowing anything, they have great analyst and researchers at the Boston Herald. Richard Justice would do well writing for this paper.

Vinny, this is easily the most hilarious link that you have ever posted in my opinion. Great find. :laughjump:

Talk about getting your facts wrong, and where was the editor on this one? What an embarrassment of a newspaper.

No, George Blanda has been activated to take his place, and Henry Kissinger will be acting as the Defensive Coordinator. Oh and keep an eye out for Marge Simpson, she's the Derrick Doll with the giant blue hair.

Boston's so invested in the Red Sox right now, it's understandable.

Do your homework before writing!

In other news Ken Houston is playing beyond his years as a Texan.

That's what I was thinking too, no excuse though unless he is a volunteer journalist and isn't getting paid for his work.

If he has a track record of making dumb mistakes like this one, then he's probably going to stay a volunteer journalist

I understand that our franchise hasn't been "relevant" (other than the 2006 draft) as far as the national media is concerned. But it consistently blows my mind how little people know about us...and claim to be experts on the topic. I mean, c'mon....there's really no excuse for typing www.houstontexans.com and doing some clicking and scrolling in the name of "research."

I dunno about you guys, but if I sucked as consistently as some of these people do at my job, I wouldn't have one.

That mistake caused a lot of people to click on the link. That caused the Boston Herald to get more revenue from the ads.

Well, that must be why McClain and Justice are still employed.

The Chronicle actually makes a profit from their incompetence.

LOL. I saw that, too.

This is absolute proof that the media who often write about the NFL do not actually follow it at all.

Somehow, some way, someone messed up and didn't do their research before hitting the "send" button on their story. This was not just a coincidence...there's supposed to also be a copy editor for the sports section who would catch this error before it was posted/printed.

A lot of people (the writer, the copy editor, and the sports editor) fell asleep on this one.

More reason to go to the message boards if you want REAL news on a team.

Hey, I also read there that Earl Campbell agreed to come back from retirement to help Houston out due to A. Green's ineffectiveness.
