1) Adrian Peterson is turning out to be a stud RB. You always wonder if the success a RB has in college will translate to the NFL. Sometimes it doesn't (see Blair Thomas, Cedric Benson). Sometimes it does, though, and you have to think the Minnesota is excited about the play that they're getting out of Peterson.

2) Speaking of other folks that look to be "for real," I think that you have to mention Jason Campbell in that discussion. Looks like he might have finally settled the 'Skins QB situation for the long term. He may not be an elite QB, but he doesn't appear to be the type who's going to lose games for you with boneheaded decisions.

3) If I bench a player in fantasy football that player automatically responds with a fantastic performance. Every freakin' time. This week, Thomas Jones and Wes Welker were on the pine for me. Jones ran for 100+ yards and Welker has already scored twice. Oh, and I started Warner who immediately goes out with a bad elbow. Someone else on the board said that they were the Charlie Casserly of fantasy football. Well, I guess that makes me Matt Millen.

4) If I'm Jacksonville, I'm calling the David Garrard experiment a success. I'm thinking that they're not missing Gary Coleman at all. I missed him today. Sure did.

5) Dear Ronnie Brown - I'm sorry that you are playing for a really bad Miami team. If you want to come play for not as bad Houston Team, feel free to give me a shout. Love, Rick Smith

6) Good Lord. What happened to the Rams? They went from a dynamic, explosive offense to a big turd. When you're starting Gus Frerotte and Travis Minor, you know you're toast. By the way, Frerotte completed almost 70% of his passes. Of course, 5 of those completions went to the guys in the wrong jerseys.

7) Brian Billick is an offensive genius in Minnesota. He goes to Baltimore and 8 years later they still don't have an offense. Marvin Lewis helps craft a dominating defense in Baltimore. He goes to Cincinatti and nearly 5 years later they still don't have a defense. No real point here other than perhaps the Brian Billick coaching tree is a bit dysfunctional.

8) Testaverde is 20/33 for 206 and a touch. Uhhhhh, didn't they just sign this guy? I guess if you've been in the league since the jurassic period you can handle anything.

9) Is it just me, or does our O-line look like they lack a mean streak? I know that the skill set is there and they have a lot of experience but they just seem to get pushed around a lot. Schaub is making them look better than they really are, methinks, in the passing game. So said, I think they have been exposed as a very poor run blocking unit. I'm hoping that we might see something to shake things up because the Tight 'Uns d-line is pretty darn physical. I'd hate to see us get punched in the mouth two straight weeks.

10) This has been a crappy weekend for football. First, LSU loses and then the Texans get punked out big time by the Jags. All I can say now is "Go Pats, beat those Cowgirls. Go 'hawks. Keep the Taints winless!"

1) Zero on the play clock is a penalty...or at least it used to be.

2) Walkers with the tennis balls on the end of 2 legs are not allowed on the football field Mr. Testaverde.

3) Devon Hester is sick!!

If I bench a player in fantasy football that player automatically responds with a fantastic performance

4) I had a choice of playing Garrard or Garcia. My thinking was, if I play Garcia and bench Garrard, Garcia will have a bad game, hence a bad day for my fantasy team, and Garrard would accumulate a bunch of fantasy points against the Texans that would just be sitting on my bench. If I play Garrard and sit Garcia, then Garcia gets all those bench points against the Titans, Garrard doesn't do well for me, which would be good for the Texans. I went with Garrard, just didn't work out like I wanted it.

5) The Chargers powder blues are still the best in football.

6) The Saints finally look more like the '06 Saints instead of the '05 Saints.

7) Never mind the '72 Dolphins worrying about whether they get to pop open the champaign, the '76 Bucs may be celebrating when the Rams go 0-16.

8) Did Belichick have to give up his hoodie as part of the penalties put on the Pats for videogate?

9) The Titans lost twice today.

10) Favre is the all-time interception king!!!:shades:

Yeah he's by far the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. He is fun to watch. Glad he was drafted by a NFC team.

I wasn't impressed with him ealry on but he is looking good.

Devon Hester for me.

Yeah but now they have freakin Webster in the back field.

Another back that is fun to watch, too bad he is stuck on a horrible Dolphins team.

He is a better option than Carr. I don't know if anyone caught Carr looking at Testaverde but when VT was celebrating Williams TD with team mates, Carr didn't participate, and DC gave Testaverde the evil eye like he was taking the job away from him. lol

EXACTLY!!! I am tired of everyone talking about how good our offensive line is. Wake-up call, people! Nothing has changed! The only reason we don't have 76 sacks by now is because Schaub gets rid of the ball. Our O-line has not improved as vastly as everyone thinks.

And we used to be able to run the ball!!
