Will we see the special "all purpose yards" stat for him? Because you know if Reggie put up 350 yards we would hear about it for 3 months.

11.2 AVERAGE on rushes!? Holy smokes!

TD runs of 73 and 67 yards today against Chicago.

Dude is frightening. He was averaging 5 yards a carry before today...if I worked for CBS Sports, I would have to say we have a new Barry Sanders on our hands.

"I did more in one season than you did your whole career" said fictional AP to fictional RB

waiting for TTP to come in and lambast the Vikings for not taking a lineman over Peterson

Part of me wishes we had AP instead of Amobi. Actually a lot of me does.

the Browns aren't regretting passing on Peterson. they had some guy from Northwestern toting the pill today against Miami's awful rush defense and didn't do anything. wow.

actually, if the guy they took sucked, i could make that statement. but Joe Thomas is looking great. he completely shut down Jason Taylor.

A lot of me does too, but it's not like we had the option to take him. That's like wishing we had taken Ronnie Brown in 2005 instead of Travistar.

perhaps if Nick Saban thought like everyone else that Ronnie Brown was Cadillac Williams' "backup," then he would've fell further.

Didnt hurt that he actually coached against those kids in college.

I'm in a keeper league for fantasy and traded LT for AD. Both had huge days today, but I'm liking the future for this kid. May he win me many fantasy games in the future! Oh and another thing, thank God he is in the NFC!

I'm just glad we passed on Reggie and not Adrian... Imagine the how the media would be talking if we would have passed on a player like Adrian if we would have had a chance.

You know, with the pace AD is on, he will surpass Barry Sanders as leading the NFC in rushing both of their rookie years.

The hardest decision I made this season was to turn down hanging with my relatives at the Cowboys/Vikings game in favor of going to the Texans/Titans game. I'm beginning to get nervous.

I hope AP lights it up against the Cowboys. I know he can.

Are you serious ? Do you really think the media realizes that AD is superior to Bush as an NFL running back ?

yes...I think most people watch the games and adjust their perceptions. Tons of media has been dogging Bush this season if you click around.

WOW... talk about a player taking over a game.

He's got a shot to be one of the best especially with that great vikings O-Line.

Part of me wishes we had AP instead of Amobi. Actually a lot of me does.

I was thinking about this today and looked up on the draft chart the difference between the vikings #7 and our #10. A fair trade would be us giving them our 3rd rd pick to move up those 3 spots.

As much as I would love to have AP, I wouldn't trade Okoye and Jones for him.

I would also like to second whoever said that about passing on bush/peterson. If we were to pass on a guy like Peterson- that would have been an awful unforgivable thing. Passing on a guy like Bush- we'll get made fun of for a little bit, but then everyone will switch to "no you shouldn't have taken bush but you should have taken VY"

There was a very interesting debate going on at another site...footballsfuture.com.. in fact I'll start a new thread about it in the NFL section. Who would you rather have as your once in a lifetime back Bush, Peterson, or McFadden? The results were very surprising with them all about the same with about 200+ votes.

I forgot this was the NFL section. All this talk about wanting peterson made me think he was on our team. DAAAMIITT!!!:gun:
