Crap. Three healthy wide recievers.

Owen Daniels and Putzier are going to get a lot of passes thrown their way. All Atlanta has to do is cover the middle and stuff the run.

They haven't been able to stuff the run all year. Why should tomorrow be any different?

Down 2 DTs, (both starters I think?) we may be able to run up the middle. If Flannagan can play decent.

Damn. Well hopefully Andre Davis, Kevin Walters, and David Anderson step up big. I know Owen Daniels will be fine. If we can get a good running game with Dayne, we should be able to do some play action (and Ahman may play, so it wouldn't look too bad).

Gado ran for 104 yards on ATL some time ago, I say he shares carries with Dayne.

I've seen stranger things happen. I'm not sold on a rotation of Dayne and Gado.

Me either. I expect the Birds to work to stop the run (wont be to hard IMO) and make us pass as we are short at WR making us one demensional which is what you always want to do. They can then rush/blitz the QB regularly.

Update time:

http://blogs.chron.com/gamedaytexans/2007/09/kalu_says_he_wont_play_injury.html
Coach Gary Kubiak said he will likely wait until Sunday morning to decide whether or not running back Ahman Green or wide receiver Jerome Mathis can play against Atlanta. Even though there is nothing more specific on Mathis' injury -other than that he has a sore lower leg - Kubiak said that it is more likely Green will be able to play than Mathis. Neither player practiced all week.

N.D. Kalu also said that his broken hand will sideline him Sunday. Kalu has played with a cast on his hand the past two weeks, but said that it is not really helping the hand heal. He said he will now sit out until he no longer has to play with a cast on. Team doctors haven't told him how long that will take.

"I'm not playing," Kalu said after Friday's practice. "Yeah, (the cast) is not working. It's not really getting better like I thought it would. So when I can get out of the cast is when I'll play again."
