Agreed. It made me sad to read it.

I for one will fly the Texans flag all the way down I-45 and 105 on my return journey. Not sure how I will rig it up in the F-150, but I will find a way. I will represent Houston deep in Cowgirl country.

I will wear my Texans helmet when we play the Falcons the following week.

Seriously, After the Texans got down by 14 against the Panthers I was sitting there on the edge of utter disgust. I looked over and saw my Texans helmet sitting there and maybe a little out of boredom I put it on. Then the Texans began their comeback. Later in the game my wife walked by and said "What are you doing with that on?" and I told her I couldn't take it off (since it had obviously been the thing that spurred the comeback). I took it off and I swear within a minute or two Steve Smith broke out and got his 3rd TD.

No way I start the Colts game without my helmet. If they beat the Colts It just means that the magic helmet is REAL!

My best friend, and brother outside of blood, is a Colt Fanatic! But he likes the Texans as a second team though. I'll probably call and do my share of ribbing on him. He's laid off the ribbing to me over the years, so I pretty much let him slide last December with our last win of Indy.

This one will NOT be so lucky on his part!

After that, I'll probably get myself prepared and ready to help all those 'bandwagon' hoppers that seem to crawl out of the woodwork when a team like us comes along. :shades:

I have to say my friends joke with me about how I am overly logical. With the exception of sports jinxes and rallys. The worst fight I've ever had with my husband was during the Rockets playoffs, and he said the worst words ever in the 4th quarter:

"There's no way they can lose now."

And they lost. And I got mad because he said those words you aren't supposed to say.

Which I suppose means I have a pretty happy marriage if that's the worst fight. And I am weird about sports jinxes.

Actually, Herv, I appreciate your contribution to the Texans victory. But it might not have been the helmet that broke the game wide open for the Texans. My son was wearing his "number three seven Houston Texans football shirt" (as he calls it) and, about the time that Steve Smith got past Petey for the second time, he looks over to me and flat calls me on the carpet for not wearing my "number nine zero houston texans football shirt." I put it on and the Texans get a spark...

but I don't think it was the Mario jersey.... and even though it might have been the helmet....

I really think the 31 unanswered points stemmed from a couple of six inch rubber chickens (to be known as the "rally chickens going forward) that broke it wide open. I found that if you grab them by the arse or legs and shake them their head rattles around and makes an obscene sounding slapping sound generally only heard in freshman male dormitories. I'm cheering, the chickens are flying everywhere, and the Texans stomp a mudhole in the Panthers.

So, WHEN we beat Indy on Sunday I'll be sure to -

wait for it.......

choke the ole' rally chicken til it pops! :chicken:

And then get harassed by the wife for making a mess on the carpet.

Funny, I thought it was me. The score was 14-0 when I got home & turned on the game. My 5 year old son was with me. So I put on my Andre Johnson jersey & of course the Texans marched right down the field & scored.

My son said I had the same number as the player on TV. So when he scored again, my son said, "Dad, it's a magic shirt." What a game! :whip:

I'll still wear my jersey whether Andre plays or not.

As for this game; if the Texans beat the Colts, I'll wear my Texans tie to work. Might not be a huge statement, but I made my statement 2 years ago when I drove with a Texans car flag during the entire 2-14 season. Did that last year, too.
