Week Two MVP meter

Schaub makes appearance on list with Texans at 2-0

The field evened out in Week Two, with more non-quarterbacks entering the fray, but no Rams, Saints or Eagles make this list. Those are three offenses we expected to be darned explosive, or at least competent, so the race opens up.

And it does so for guys such as Texans QB Matt Schaub, whose new team is 2-0 for the first time in franchise history. Up next is a brutal matchup with the Colts, and he’ll be facing them without his top wideout. But to date, Schaub has looked very composed as the leader of this revamped offense.

8. Texans QB Matt Schaub — Throwing with confidence and guiding what appears to be a different kind of Texans team, Schaub has gotten himself off to a nice start in Houston. The big test will be to spread the ball to his other receivers this week with Andre Johnson on the shelf at least one game.
