9/13/2007 Waived tight end Joel Dreessen.

Another signing coming soon? Somebody getting the bump up from the practice squad?

I think it could be a DT since both Okoye and Johnson are injured. If both miss this week, it's basically all Zgonina and Maddox. Yes, they can both start if need be, but both of them by themselves could be a serious problem.

I always thought his last name was awesome. Especially for a football player.

Transactions continue: The Texans released tight end Joel Dreessen Thursday and resigned defensive tackle Cedric Killings. Houston had signed Killings over the summer, but let him ago in early September in their last round of cuts.

The defensive tackle brings an inside presence to a defensive line that has been battling injuries over the last few weeks. The tight end spot, on the other hand, had been four men deep with Dreessen backing up Owen Daniels, Mark Bruener and Jeb Putzier.
