View Full Version : Skip Bayless is delusional.

I was watching first take or whatever it is now. Did anyone else see him take DETROIT as one of his NFC wildcard teams? Then proceed to call Calvin Johnson the best draft choice EVER in the history of the franchise.

He also chose the Titans as one of his AFC team wildcards. All he said in defense was two words : Vince Young.

I loved watching Stephen A. Smith rightfully nearly explode. What little credibility Skip had.....just flew out the window.

Is this supposed to be news about Skip? :shades:

Bayless vs Smith?

Is this the ESPN Douchebag All-Stars or something?

All that is needed to complete the doucheiness is Jim Rome.

but but....he seriously chose DETROIT. I've seen a lot of stupid things...but DETROIT! i mean......i really can't comprehend that unless you are a drugged up, homeless, transgendered, one legged hooker that has somehow been seduced by the 80's porn-stache of Matt Millen...or a member of the Ford Family.

He's already picked VY to win multiple SB's.

hopefully one day, Barkley will do as he has promised and kick Bayless and Mariotti's ass in a boxing ring. Now that would be high theatre.

Bayless is an ***** and thinking the Titans will make the playoffs is just absurd. I do think VY could eventually win a SB but anyone who was an Oilers fan knows that it wont be with the Titans. Bud is cursed. Maybe if Bud passes away there could be a chance but I think the curse would be grandfathered to his offspring.

I like Detroit as a sleeper pick because the NFC is just so damn bad but I can understand people questioning the pick. Stephen A. Smith thinks that if he just says something really loud it means more....he sucks too.

Ya, I think I started a thread about this time last year on that very same topic. Just do as I do, whenever he pops up on the screen, I go channel surfing.

meh, it's not THAT insane. potential for a very high-powered offense, and an improving defense, and in a weak conference.

Add Paige and Salisbury steak to that list for me.

Ok, so maybe Clayton was a bit rash, but we can defiantly add Len Pasterbelly to the list...right?

any ESPN guy that's actually reporting something, i have no problem with. even if the news isn't exactly accurate, at least they're SAYING something. but the random talking heads are the worst. salisbury, bayless, etc

I have never listened to anything Skip says... he knows NOTHING about sports... I think he just gets up there without doing any research and just spits out what comes to his mind.

I mean they're improved I guess. I still don't seem them as a playff contender even if the NFC still is a bit weak. The NFC west is going to be compettive and i think two teams at least will come out of there(Seahawks and Rams). Two teams out of the East (Philly and Cowboys) Chicago in the north and i think the Saints and Panthers will be battling it out in the NFC south.I just don't think the lions aren't on the level those teams are...actually i don't think they are close.

Geez 90% of the time there were defenders in the backfield at the time of the handoff.

Skip's a difficult guy to understand. However, he did give some love to Matt Schaub and said that the Falcons would regret making the trade. This had to be a week ago but he took some heat from the other talking heads.

exactly.......Skip has said worst things in the past, but this isn't one of them....having the Titans as a playoff team isn't an insane thing either....if he were to say that about the Texans, the majority of this board would be all over his nuts..........
