I'm sure that McNair presented all of this in a light hearted manner. He did it in his "own house"......this wasn't any national campaign.......he certainly didn't take it to Dallas.

Let any Girl fans who are offended by this, seek to become house-trained and learn to crap in their "own house" instead of taking it to everyone else's.

There's only one thing worse than a Cowboy fan and that's a Longhorn fan.

I don't think that the Texans would be too pleased if it had been Jerry coming up with a similar offer.

Personally, the $15 off a jersey in the Texans store isn't much better than the tax free weekend. I would like another Texans jersey myself once the team gets past the turnover situation. Heck I have more ex-Texan jerseys than current. However, the better deal comes from Ebay. Why pay $65 for an awful screen when I can get stitching for $40 on a good day?

geeze it isn't like McNair is saying" wear a Texans jersey to reliant or you don't get in" he is just saying "if you are having your doubts on what team to pick in Texas ..trade it off and we will take you in" big deal

he is catering to the bandwagon cowboy fans
or the fans that have low self esteem right now and are afraid to show their Texans pride

Yeah, the media up here is ridiculous. They believe they will be going to the Super Bowl. I can see the playoffs though.

The Cowboy fans aren't smart enough to understand that McNair doesn't really believe he has super powers, that Cowboy Bill really didn't have to be escorted out (he is so short he wouldn't be seen in a crowd of sixth graders), and that thier team, after talking trash about how the Governor's Cup was thiers and they were gonna bring it to the Texans as if it were a real game, tried harder than the Texans but still lost.

The joke will always be on them, especially when they don't understand the punch line.

They were picked to go to the Super Bowl when we beat them 19-10 and they haven't been the same since.

Over half of those tools probably don't even remember the last Cowboys playoff victory. Since the Texans were created, they've got the same number of playoff wins as the Cowgirls, yet all those morons can say is "5 rings...lookitmeeee!!!!".

Say what you wish, but at the beginning of any given season I will never say I predict us going 5-11. Hey, might happen, and I can deal with it, but it certainly won't be my prophecy.

I guess to some it sounds good to say "realistically, I think my team will go about 8 - 8. In that case, why not wear Dockers, a Polo shirt and loafers to the game, then sit back and be cautiously optimistic the prediction hold up.

Guess you just don't get it...think of it as some good natured smack. I like to think of it as an offer of pardon to those bandwagoning, front-running neighbors to our north (and their misplaced fans down in God's country). There's a new sheriff in town boys...and frankly, I love it! :cowboy1:

Some quotes from Asphalt_Jungle on the Cowgirls blog site:

Right on, Derek258, right on. You're on the right side of the Message Board. I look forward to bantering with you. I'm serious. If you aren't on board with the 07 Cowboys, 3.25 days before the Opener, you got no business now being on the board. Positive folks are reappearing every day. Presto, Gabacho, Dalls fan 71, et. al. I'm glad to have all the Troops back. We need all the Earth Shakers and History Makers on here we can get. The Fair Weather Fans are going to have to "Dr. Phil" each other, and put on this year's Cap. The past is gone. 34-22, Bleddie, Glenn, they're not here anymore. We got it good here in Big D. And Cleveland's First Rounder even if we go to the SB. That there is what is known as "One for Tomorrow.....one just for Today". The Doors.

Drewstar, no it wasn't a mistake to let Glenn go. He's old as rope. Drewstar you're missing the point, which is typical, I suppose. You're either a fan of the 07 Cowobys or you're not. Talking about Bledsoe isn't going to prove one damn thing at this point. He's done. Retired. Finished. Didn't do carp while he was here. He was incapable of crap when he was here. Once I heard his little schtick about Training Camp starting being the worst day of his year, and the Season over being the best day of his year, I'm like, "Yeah, were really going to win with this dude at QB." Its kind of like a waste of time to bring up Bledsoe at this point. Bury the dude. Ditto for 34-32. And Glenn. The Team is going in a different direction. That's life, Brah. Support the Team, or go somewhere else. All these threads about Bledsoe and 34-32, and even Glenn for that matter......its like beating a dead horse. Its done. Move on, Drewstar. Free Country? Yeah, sure. Free is like the word guarantee.....steep price. Free and guarntee are not words that I use........shows your ignorance if you ask me. And that's the editorial your......not YOUR IGNORANCE. Back off too dude. I'm in no mood for Fair Weather Fans, dig?

How come you visit this foum shaft we put you to shame in a game that counted.

It was week 5 and we stomped you for a Big fat W on CBS 34-6 WHEN IT COUNTED. ***(ALL I CAN SAY IS 19-10 WHEN IT COUNTED MORE)***

Great teams with history and a legacy of great players with tradition Dont care about pre-season Victories. their just meaningless. So go get a sense of what football is all about. Its not your fault your a texan fan.

Shaft75:
The first game that the Texans ever played is the one that counts the most for us Texans fans. You can talk about the history before that game and I would give you a big pat on the back for winning Super Bowls and having Hall of Fame players. BUT, you must realize that the Texans came to existence in 2001.

In our first game, we put a smack down to our interstate rival. OUR FIRST GAME! Quit tooting your horn so loud about games that count. Texans vs. Cowboys(regular season), are both one win and one loss.

But my whole point is that we put a better product on the field two weeks ago. The first string Texans looked great in every phase of the game, against what was supposed to be a better team. And then, our second string whooped up on your first string. Something that many Cowgirl fans don't care to acknowledge.

I know that stating these facts will never sway narrow-minded opinions so, therefore, we will see midseason how the Texans are, and if this whole preseason was a fluke.
