As always, fans can watch coach Gary Kubiak's weekly press conference live on Texans TV at 3:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Aug. 31, 2007. There's a chance Kubiak will announce the Texans' final roster cuts during this press conference, so don't miss out on this opportunity.

i hope they keep keenan. i know he hasnt had a lot of time on the field for a variety of reasons, but i think he could help mentor this young bunch and with Jacoby playing so well so early, you almost don't want to screw with anything. Barring injury, he wouldn't see a lot of playing time but I think he may bring more to the table off-the-field than Bethel or Anderson.

bottom line is that our WR situation is now looking a hell of lot better than it looked after Moulds was so unceremoniously casted adrift post 2006 season.

I wonder if Moulds makes the Titans roster. If he does it speaks volumes about there WR corps.

Maybe I should take this back... their depth chart on TitansOnline shows him as behind someone but when I saw one of their preseason games, I'm pretty sure one of the announcers said that Moulds was their #1.

I think the latter should have brought down that end zone pass last night and also Bethel can return. He is younger but still in his 5th season. I think AJ can be the mentor guy & Walter is in 5th year, too.

I don't think Bethel or McCardell make this roster. I think it will be:

A. Johnson

A. Davis

If it comes down to a 6th wr spot, I think it will go to D. Anderson.

But who knows, I could be wrong. Won't be the first time, or the last.

Gado is probably much better at blocking and picking up the blitz then an UDFA. Walker might also be put on the pratice squad.

To me the biggest surprise is releasing Brandon Frye. He had an injury which kept him out of a lot of training camp but we did draft 2 players "AFTER" him and we kept both. With his athletism he had the potential to be a swing player for the tackle-guard combo.
Based upon how many of these players are picked up, now we get to see if our talent is as good as a lot of people are saying it is ?

He's still on the team?

Maybe the Chris White experiment at LT did not go so well, the Texans can't afford to move Black to his "better" position at RT, therefore they need to keep Jackson?

Or do they want him on the team to assist his young teammates preparing for life after the NFL, what with his attending the workshop for such matter last year? And the guy majored in Intl' business at BYU afterall.

Call it the curse of the Johnsanfan sig. He had Wali Lundy previously. Now McCardell.

Please make your next sig with Jameel Cook. That is all.

They already have by cutting Stanley.

Turk has looked kinda shaky as a holder.

(From Kubiaks Presser today) (http://www.texanstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41537)
(on if punter Matt Turk won the job) “Yes, there’s no doubt in our mind he did. Of course, Chad (Stanley) had some problems with his off leg the last 10 days, but before that, we felt that Matt (Turk) was winning that job and he’s been consistent. He’s been doing it every. He’s give us the chance to hit that big ball. If you get stuck in a hole or something, he can hit the big ball. He can get us out of a hole. He’s a good holder and that helped with the equation.”
