The Texans have come to terms with their first of six draft picks.

Linebacker Zac Diles, a seventh-round pick from Kansas State, signed a four-year, $1.72 million contract with the team Wednesday evening.

I have started to wonder about our signing our draft picks. I am glad to see them make progress even if I would have prefered to see that Amobi or Jones had been signed. Atleast it is a step in the right direction.

Take last year's contract for the slot in which the player was drafted and add 7%-10% to account for inflation and a rising market. Voila.

Ya know it is funny that the chron has this info but if you goto the team website it is not on the transactions section.

Just amazes me that they can not have this stuff updated on a regular basis.

The team won't update unless the contract has been signed and has league approval. Coming to terms, while close is not exactly the same thing.
