We NEED to TRADE DOWN!!! We could get OT Staley later in the round and add a much needed second round pick.

Amobi Okoye .... or trade down.

REACH!!!!!!!!

Not really Atl had a real bad pass defense, this is a BPA w/ need.

Or WR Jarrett.

Miami is going Quinn and we have the DBS, willis and Okoye out there. Trade down in my book but I wouldn't complain about Okoye.

Marcus
04-28-2007, 12:40 PM
I felt if Petterson fell it would be a pick your poison type of situation. Draft an injury prone RB or be ridiculed for passing on such a great talent. Im glad the choise isnt on the table anymore.

Exactly! Who needed that headache?

STEEL BLUE TEXANS

I could live with Okoye at 10 if we aren't able to trade down.

The Texans didn't know it back in March, but they could have had Quinn at #8 and kept their 2nd round picks. We'll see which would have been the better course.

I think Willis is the BPA left on the board. I just hope Smith feels the same way.

Hall and Revis are the two best CB in the draft so no not really.

What's wrong with Hall at 10? Most of the mocks had us taking him at 10.

What's wrong with Hall at 10? Most of the mocks had us taking him at 10.

I don't know, I am more of a build the defeensive line up first and then move outward. I don't really like Faggins at #2 CB but with an improved passrush, it sure would make our secondary look better .

of course better coverage makes the Qb hold the ball longer and our DL can get to the QB then

chicken/egg theory I guess

My wife said on Thursday "The Texans will take some 18 year old kid right out of college."

I said "Oh really? 18 right outta college huh? You sure you don't mean high school? LOL"

"Nope he is some psychology major or something like that.''

I knew who he was but not sure how she did.

I wish the FO would've addressed a position of need rather than going DL AGAIN. This guy could just as easily be the next TJ and we still don't know what MW will do if anything. I would've rather have seen something to address the DB's at least.

The more I think about this pick the more I like it. Okoye will help our secondary by teaming with Mario Williams to create disruption, havoc and fear. Only nineteen years old, intelligent and mature beyond his years, I think we may have found a gem.

I didn't like any of the CB's at the ten spot. There hasn't been a run on either CB or WR as of yet - we may find value near the top of the third round.

Along with the improved cast comes less urgency to march in and be the next Joe Montana. Less pressure and more realistic expectations. He can adjust to the NFL at a more comfortable pace than if he were thrust into the leadership of a horrible team that can't protect their rookie quarterback.
