I don't think I have ever seen us run a flee flicker. A lot of teems have had recent sucess using a play like that. I would love to see us try it out once. It could result in a 70 yard bomb to Johnson or something nutty.

Didn't DD or Gaffney make a pass to the end zone?

IM talking more of the hand off to DD, DD runs a few steps, then throws it back to Carr who launches it.

Last year Mack threw an interception in the endzone and that is the last flee flicker I rember.

That would be a halfback pass, not a flea-flicker. I'm not sure we have run one.

I was thinking this over while sipping my tee. I haven't seen many teems use a flee flicker in quite some time. Then I decided to reed a website I go to, and discovered that indeed, many teems do use flees, but only in treening camp, to help motivate the players. This seems meen to me. Oh well, back to my tee.
btw.. i saw a teem use a flee flicker not too long ago. hmm.. actually that might have been a statue of liberty play or something.
I think it was the Cowboys against the Steelers.. but im not positive now.

It was a cowboys game. I think parcells wanted to see how many former Jets could touch the ball on one play. It did work though and was exciting.

we did it last year...i'll never forget it cuz the guy behind me called all year for a flee flicker and when they did it, my goodness i've never seen a happier dude.
I think it was handoff to davis, pitch back to carr, carr gets sacked
I would like to see a quick-kick by the supertackle. That would throw everyone off. But only if we're in 3rd and long.

Last year I remember a very long bomb flee flicker to David Carr...Carr cuaght the ball but it was just a tad out of bounds.
not sure what game it was or who threw the pass....

That was against Miami. It was a QB throwback.

The best time to run a flee flicker; 3 and 1 at the opponent's 40. Too far to kick a FG, but so close a punt would probably go into the end zone. The best team to run a flee flicker would have to be MN. The opposition has to respect the run and Daunte could get the ball back and throw it too Moss. I think it could work with the Texans, but with a lower success rate.

The play is a FLEA-flicker, and not flee flicker
flea-flick·er [ flflkr ]
n. Football
1. An offensive play in which the ball is handed off, often in a double reverse, and then tossed back to the quarterback, who throws a long pass.
2. An offensive play in which a pass is thrown to a receiver who then laterals the ball to a teammate.

Yeah it is. I didn't even look at 2. I was just trying to confirm that I wasn't crazy with the flee/flea thing.
