Now i'm not saying that Carr is the best quaterback or anything, but his O-Line has been horrible his whole career, dont you think even if we do trade him or bring in a new QB, that it would just be the same it , seems to me that every year the O-Line is just horrible , i thought last year instead of getting Mario we should of traded down and picked up D Brick and Mangold like the jets did to make our O-Line solid, but it just seems hopeless at this point for it, i know the QB position is the hardest one and Carr has been paid alot of money so far i just dont think its all his fault, what do you think ?

Football is a team sport.

I believe they tried trading down there just wasn't any good offers.

I hate to :deadhorse but, no it wasn't all Carr's fault. I think he has been ruined by the previous coaching staff, and Kubes tried to correct whatever problems Carr had (ie. footwork, decision making, etc..) but has been unsuccessful. And, for whatever reason, has decided it would be better to move on with another QB.

Yes, the O-line has been a problem from day one, and it seems no matter what they try to do to fix it (draft, FA, trades), they just haven't had much luck. For example, last year Kubes drafted Spencer and Winston, and picked up Flanagan and Salaam in FA. I thought this would give us a pretty good O-line last year as most did, but what happens, Spencer goes down in week 2 and Flanagan and Wiegert go down about mid season. This left us too thin on the O-line, and with the constant changing of players at the LT, C, and RT spots, they were never able to play well together as a unit until the last 2 games when McKinney was moved back to C.

It just seems the O-line is "snakebit" with all the injuries they've had over the years and all the bad moves by the previous coaching staff and FO. I do feel Kubes and Smith have them moving in the right direction. With the resigining of Salaam and getting Jordan Black in FA I think they are trying to give us more depth. I also feel they will be drafting at least 1 OL on the 1st day of the draft, possibly a LT or C, and I wouldn't be surprised if they picked up another OL on the 2nd day. JMHO!

I didn't check the stats myself. But it's been said here, that D'Brick gave up more sacks than our LT by comittee...

Honestly, I think our team was in such bad shape, that Kubiak had to make some decisions about the 53 man roster that really hurt our team.

Letting Wand go, I'm guessing so we could carry 4 TEs, two fullbacks, a slew of DEs, CBs & Safeties....... was a big mistake.

What I really didn't understand, was keeping Bedell after he showed no confidence in putting him on the field. We could have got Wand back then, before Tennessee picked him up.

All im saying it that , i think if Carr had a good O-Line he would be a great QB, didnt he have the highest % rate for passing and andre johnson lead in another category too for WR. I just think they need to fix the o-line instead of worrying about a QB, no QB will do good unless they have a line to protect him.

So you're saying the Cowboys should've stuck with Bledsoe??

The Cardinals should have stuck with Warner??

The Dolphins should have left Cullpepper as their starter??

Its has to do with the moral and positive teamwork on the OL. They simply don't like Carr enough to block for him. Put in Sage or a QB thats going to treat them right and they will block/work for the QB. The moral will be up for the OL and the rest of the team. This has been going on for how long, and no one has figured it out yet?:wheel:
