NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee coach Jeff Fisher doesn't expect troubled cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones to return to the Titans' facility with the rest of his teammates when they report March 19.

The NFL is examining 10 separate incidents in which Jones has been questioned by police since being drafted, including a Feb. 19 triple shooting at a Las Vegas strip club.

Fisher and chief operating officer Steve Underwood met with Jones' lawyers at the attorneys' request Friday for what Fisher characterized as an information-gathering meeting.

Fisher said the Titans are still gathering their own information before deciding whether to keep Jones.

"As an organization it's always been our policy to gather facts and to make sure we have all the information, and that's what we're doing," he said. "At this point, I don't see him coming back on the 19th."

Fisher was clearly upset that Jones failed to inform team officials about two arrests in Fayette County, Ga., last year, including one related to a search for drugs at the home Jones bought for his mother.

"Typically speaking, if there's a situation like this, it's the player's responsibility to inform the club and that did not take place," Fisher told reporters on Friday.

Jones' attorneys, Worrick Robinson and Manny Arora, said on radio station WGFX Friday morning that they didn't expect Jones to be charged in the Las Vegas episode, but acknowledged that their client too often is in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"If he doesn't commit to changing it, at some point it's going to be too much," Arora said. "It may already be there to some extent."

Since the Texans would not knowingly accept someone on their team with a behavior problem the point is mute, but I don't think I'd want him on our team either. Too many headaches and distractions.

What is wrong with you? People who would want this piece of crap need help themselves. I would never ever support the Texans if they were to pick up this thug. He is a worthless person who shows a lack of authority, and should be dealt with instantly. Instead, he keeps getting special treatment, because he is an athlete. This is rediculous, and he should be behind bars, and anyone who condones his behavior should be there with him. People like this are the reason why we need the law. This is plain stupid. Get him out of the NFL, NOW!!!!!!!!

This guy doesn't deserve to play for any team in the NFL. He deserves to be in prison. If I were the Titans, I would keep him and put him on the inactive list the entire season that way he doesn't get a chance to play for another team.

haha does anyone honestly think PacMan will be playing anywhere next year? dude is gonna get a 16 game suspension even after the Titan's let him go. I do think a team will take a chance on him but it wont be the Texans and it wont be in 07.

i dont have a problem with him smoking trees but assaulting women and policemen and hanging out with people who are ghetto trash is too much. then you couple that with the fact that one of his entourage shot up a club and paralyzed a guy for life, a guy that Pacman had targeted with the words 'smoke his ass'....well it doesnt take long to connect the dots.

guy is total pile of crap

I don't think a team in our division would pick him up, but I wouldn't bet on him being out of our conference. Remember, the Raiders are an AFC team.

No matter what happens, he will land on a roster SOMEWHERE.

He's too big of a playmaker for some team not to take him, someone will be desperate enough.

That is assuming he isn't in prison...

Bad stuff seems to keep following Jones around. Looks as though a man pulled a knife on him at a bowling alley Friday night.

I wonder if Bottom Line Bud is currently working out a plea bargain that will let Pacman come out to play twice a year against the Texans while incarcerated.

Sounds like a setup by attorneys of pacman looking for a little sensitivity for this *****.

Expecting any mercy from a Georgia jury after being convicted of punching a cop is somewhere between slim and none.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - When Adam "Pacman" Jones got out of his Corvette while a SWAT team served a search warrant at his Georgia home last year, a drug investigator said the sports car reeked of marijuana. As officers questioned him, the Titans cornerback acknowledged he couldn't pass a drug screen for another week or two. But Jones said he would be ready to pass it when the NFL tests him, according to the police report of March 23, 2006.

Jones has drawn police interest at least 10 times since the Titans made him their top draft pick in 2005. He now has the NFL's attention, too.

On Thursday, NFL spokesman Michael Signora confirmed Jones' behavior is being reviewed under the league's personal conduct policy.

Jones' most recent brush with police was at a Las Vegas strip club where three people were shot and one man paralyzed Feb. 19. This week, it became public that he is charged with another felony in another case in Georgia last year, which prompted the search for drugs at the home he bought for his mother.

The Titans, waiting for Las Vegas police to conclude their investigation, again declined to comment Thursday on the latest reports in Georgia involving their best defensive player.

Attorney Manny Arora of Atlanta, who has been representing Jones, did not immediately return a message by The Associated Press.

Jones was charged with possession of marijuana after being arrested in Fayette County, Ga., just south of Atlanta. That misdemeanor charge was dismissed in January, although his mother, Deborah Jones, and a friend were convicted. The prosecutor said Thursday the friend spent some time in jail.

Capt. Mike Pruitt, head of Fayette County's drug task force, didn't find out about the dismissal until Wednesday when reports of the arrests first surfaced. The prosecutor said the charge was dismissed because no marijuana was found on or near Jones.

Pruitt said they also found no marijuana in the Corvette but the car's interior smelled of smoke. He said Jones admitted smoking in the car while driving down from Nashville.

"I don't know what NFL policy is. It doesn't concern me. But I asked him why would you take your livelihood and the money you make playing in the NFL and throw it away for some stupid marijuana? Can you answer that for me? I don't understand why you would do that," Pruitt told The Associated Press on Thursday.

"He says, "We know when we're going to be tested. We know months in advance when we're going to be tested. I stop using two months ahead of time.'"

The drug task force obtained the search warrant because of heavy traffic at the house and because Jones was arrested Feb. 6, 2006, in Fayetteville, Ga. An officer patrolling noticed a car parked in the road for a few minutes, then approached the car to see what they were doing.

Jones and the people with him ran into the nearby house. Police followed and an argument turned physical. Police said Thursday Jones threw a punch at an officer before taken to the ground and handcuffed. He was charged with a felony count of obstruction and two misdemeanors of obstructing police. He appears in a Fayette County Superior Court on March 19.

"One of our officers was involved in a traffic stop with him, and after Pacman and others ran into a home, there was a physical altercation between him and the officer, and he was involved in that. He was arrested for that," Fayetteville police chief Steve Heaton said. "I think any time we have somebody who fights with an officer, it is a pretty serious matter."

Since being drafted, Jones has been arrested five times, and all but the obstruction charges in Fayetteville have been dismissed. Las Vegas police interviewed him about the triple shooting, but he was allowed to return home to Georgia.

Hell no!!!!! If he can't accomplish a simple thing in civilian life I do not want him in my Army. If he was my soldier I would confine him to the barracks and probably end up shot dead the next day. I say send him to Abu Graib Prison and let him see how bad it really gets. No way would I ever want someone like him in the Army though.
