Not exactly sure how he affects the Cap but is it an idea to maybe cut him and make a lil money. He did sorta great in the "ONE" game he played in. He also did sort horrible in the "ONE" game he played in.

He counts for about 540K, it wouldn't be smart to cut him as we really wouldn't benefit from cutting him. If anything, your better off suggesting to cut him.

Yea I'd have to agree. There is no real reason salary cap wise to cut Mathis. We really dont know what he can do receiver wise and as long as we held on to williams and joppru I think we can give Mathis some more time.

gotcha, wasn't exactly sure how that looked, I just know there was a lot of hype about him and he made one good play and then did nothing the rest of the year.

yeah... but did you see him the year before last year?

that is reason enough to keep him

if he is that small of a hit on the cap i don't see why we wouldn't keep him, I just wasnt aware of the cap situation with him.

I won't disagree with you but he was also hurt most of the year. He was a very good player for us his rookie year and was drafted as a project at WR which I don't think we've had a real chance to see yet.

Heres the best link I know of for Texan cap info. (http://www.houstonprofootball.com/cap.html) We do have some killer caps at the top.

Carr, David 2008 $5,250,000 $2,000,000 $7,250,000
Greenwood, Morlon 2009 $3,264,000 $1,400,000 $4,664,000
Williams, Domanick 2009 $3,340,000 $1,300,000 $4,640,000

Those 3 were the most troubling to me.

Looks like DAVIS "WILLIAMS" is killing us.
