INDIANAPOLIS - It appears likely the Broncos are going to experience a changing of the guard.
Pending free agent offensive lineman Cooper Carlisle, who has started the past 38 games, including playoffs, intends to test the open market.

And with no serious negotiations taking place to date, it appears he'll be headed where he nearly was two years ago - elsewhere.

Carlisle, after filling in the final four games of the 2004 season as an injury replacement for Dan Neil, had agreed to terms with the Baltimore Ravens before backing out after hearing a late sales pitch from Broncos coach Mike Shanahan and re-signing for two years.

Take Carlisle and bump Pitts to tackle, maybe?

I would love to bring him in, could save us an interior linemen draft pick. I think the more signs we can get before the draft, the better the oppurtunity to draft the BPA.

I'm waiting for someone to say something negative about the Texans taking another older Bronco/Packer to patch a hole in the line.
