Ex-standout corner now turned safety Troy Vincent was released by the Redskins today. He's definiately slowed down, and probably too old, but who knows?

I would pick him up at a low cost.

Not necessarily to start but with his wealth of experience and my hope that we pick up a rookie FS and CB to start this year his mentoring could be a big asset.

I'm assuming here that he is the kind of guy that can teach and nurture.

If he is a jerk scrap this idea.

In a teaching role that would be ok but physically he just cant hang anymore

Prolly more cap release b/c Archeleta wasn't doing so hot or injured if i remember. I wouldn't mind him coming in for vet. minimum and play SS perhaps. Would be a good veteran to have around and mentor.

Hire him as an Asst. coach for the secondary, then yes.

Love that idea V Man he could help teach our young corners and safeties how not to get beat and caught out of position so much.

Plus just getting out of the game, he can relate to them and they know who he is and what he did on the field.
