Per the San Diego Union-Tribune (http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports/chargers/20070116-1653-bn16lofton.html):
Receivers coach James Lofton and the Oakland Raiders are working on details of a contract, sources said Tuesday.

Lofton, 50, who also interviewed with the Raiders after last season, could be named the team's coach as soon as Wednesday. However, one source cautioned, “You never know with these things.”
Lofton becomes a head coach before Chargers OC Cam Cameron? Strange. But, Lofton is a former Raider. I suppose that carries a lot of weight with Al Davis. I'm wondering if Todd Marinovich got an interview?

He'll be back as a recievers coach in 2008. Al Davis won't keep a coach longer than one year.
