It is too bad Williams from Jacksonville didn't get the ball on the reverse when Mario leveled him.

same kind of pop, (made him inverted too)

Not a big deal. Saints defense held. Looks like Saint Reginald is going into the Conference Championship.

Yep.. By the looks of things they are.. He's had a good game otherwise.

Okay dudes and ladies, here is a video of the (arguably) best hit (http://my.break.com/media/view.aspx?ContentID=207931) of the 2006 season.

Once again, thumbs up to Bush for recovering well, but..... jacked up!

I just know that this hit was one of those where every one in the country went "OOOOHhhhhhh!!!!"

I personally went over it again and again on my DVR....

Ridiculous hit. Looked like 24 put his helmet right in Reggie's sternum. I was honestly worried after that hit.

One of the few times I've seen Brees hang a reciever out this year. Philly was selling out on all our short stuff with their DBs and LBs. That's why the deep middle opened up so much for the TEs I think.

I yelled so loud when the hit happened, my wife is still upset at me!:)

I guess it's just nice to see a player, that the media has taken under its protective wing, get super popped.

Bush can't move the pile like Deuce can. Seems to me he's only a danger when someone doesn't contain on the backside and he can reverse field.

You guys who dog Bush every chance you get just seem so petty.....ugh,

I don't get the attraction....so, Reggie Bush took a hard hit in the NFL playoffs. You guys who dog Bush every chance you get just seem so petty.....ugh, I think it makes all Texans fans look like idiots when we are more excited when the players we passed get hurt or have a bad play than we do for anything else. That's supposed to be funny and give us some warm fuzzies? donno, just reeks of jealousy to me. I do love the intensity of the playoffs though...too bad we haven't seen them here since last Century.

I agree completely. Me being a former defensive player (high school) just appreciates a good old fashioned "de-cleater".

GuerillaBlack
01-14-2007, 09:49 AM
There was nothing special about him running around the pile. That happens a lot in the NFL.

He got blown up, that was just wrong by Drew, dont throw that ball next time, GOSH!

I don't get the attraction....

Pfft, personally it couldv'e been any player in the league for me - that was just a hellacious hit. Worthy of a JACKED UP segment. Heck of a player to get back up from it though.

... gotta go work on some ab muscles.

....but the ongoing ridicule of a couple of players we passed on week in, week out makes us look......er, petty.....especially since they are budding superstars.

I can agree with that. What's done is done, I'm glad they're doing well - they've earned it. Makes the NFL more interesting overall.

There's two dies to that coin Vinny.

How many threads on this Texans site are posted and/or started by Bush or VY lovers? A lot. Week in and week out these folks post about how great these two players are or will be.

I think it's a normal reaction when someone is put on an ESPN pedestal, and is celebrated by non-Texan fans on the Texans home site, gets lit up.

It was indeed an awesome hit. When the ball floated out there, I knew that somebody was going to pay. I give credit to Bush for continuing the game. However, he had a little haze in his eyes from a few of the closeups that I saw.
Saints earned this one. Congrats to them.
