Not saying that the Texans should take him, but this helps the Texans tremendously. The more quality juniors declare, the better that #8 pick becomes. Excellent news for Texans fans!

Too bad he will be gone....But you are right, at least it will push a better player down to our position :yahoo:

Good deal, IF he falls to us I would take him. If not you guys are right, it will most likely push a good player down to our pick opening up greater trade back possibilities. According to Rick Smiths interview yesterday, he will be looking to pick up extra picks in this draft. I hope it happens, we need all the young talent we can get to build around.

Hope is still alive

JaMarcus Russell's mother is totally mad at the total sports network.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported Sunday that Russell, LSU's star junior quarterback, has decided to enter the NFL Draft a year early.

"And that is not true," Zina Russell-Anderson said Sunday afternoon. "JaMarcus has not made up his mind yet. He's going to decide in the next couple of days and announce it at a press conference on Wednesday."

This is a no brainer for JaMarcus in his family.

Stay in college and possibly get hurt or enter the draft when your stock is as high as its going to get and make somewhere in the neighborhood of $60M.

Hmmm...Let me think...

Oh i know, it just sounds like JaMarcus' mom is mad that the news came out before the press conference. although, he does need another year of college ball.
