View Full Version : Patriots .. making history

With their 19 game win streak going, Belichick seems to have his own philosophy on what it takes to succeed. "Coaching up" .. taking chances on a $500,000-a-year player rather than the proven player who wants $5 million seems to be working just fine for him.

Yes they have a great thing going. If they win the SB this year and they are my pick unless they lose home field advantage I will even have to choke on the D word. Dynasty.

I'd dare say they're a dynasty now. The NFL is a much different animal now than it was in the days when teams won multiple SBs in a few years (ie Steelers, Cowboys, 49ers,etc.) Winning 19 games in a row is as impressive a streak now as it was then. It puts the Patriots in exclusive company among the NFL's greatest teams. I don't like throwing the word dynasty around, but I think the Patriots are deserving of being called a dynasty.

I have been extremely impressed with the Patriots for the past few year. I have never seen a team that epitomizes the true team concept the way they do. They do whatever it takes to win including sacrificing individual glory for the betterment of the team. It is really refreshing in today's sports scene to see this type of approach to being successful. The only other sports team that I thought even came close to this approach was the Detroit Pistons when they won the NBA championship.

Long live the Patriots for taking the "I" out of "team"!!

Yea, the Patriots are the most complete team in the NFL. Admirable certainly.
