For absolutely the suckiest starting QB in the league. There are no other contenders now. PURE 100% TRASH.

Yeah he looked horrible today. Making it hard on us Carr lovers.

Then again some Carr haters will blame him for a Lunar eclipse.

Are you saying to trade David Carr to Jacksonville???? Hmmmmm... not sure about that one. That could come back and bite us in the butt for years to come. But then again, it would make for a nice rivalry. Texans vs. Carr and the Jags??? Dunno.

Who would he play good against if he was on the Jags rather than playing them?

Carr has been passing to the Jags for years...at least if he gets traded, he'll get payed for it :stirpot:

I got what probably is a dumb question and i feel i should know this.

If the Texans cut Carr, do they owe him the remaining money on his contract?

or

If the Texans trade Carr, do they owe him the remaining money or does the other team pick up the last 2 years of the contract?

His day was hardly horrible. 4 interceptions is horrible. Of course if Vince had the same stats and a victory, he'd be a "winner".

Exactly. Vincent didn't walk the water today. But he did make an ESPN
highlight on the tackel. I'm sure Ron Jurworski enjoyed it. We should know in a couple of weeks one way or another.

The game annoucers stated once again....Spencer's injury is more than hype. The term "may never" come back again was used. So where is that guy who saw him running lightly a couple of weeks agao ? Inquiring minds want to know . They didn't pull that out of thin air. Someone on the Texan's staff told them that.

Carr is 6-3 against Jacksonville with 10 touchdowns and 5 INT in those nine games. Better try for another joke.

Another joke? I got one. Have you heard how much Carr will count against our cap next year?

Probably the Texans defense! There are still alot of holes but hopefully they can fill them this year through the draft and FA

The most overrated player in the NFL is Tony Romo. This guy is not that impressive.

Billy Volek was more impressive in 2004. And that's saying a lot.

No. And the new team signs him to a new contract if cut.

If traded the new team gets the contract, but they can get him to renegotiate for an extension and a little bit more upfront money.

Another reason why Kubes is holding on to him, a pretty big chunk there.

They said on the radio today that IF Carr was traded he would count 4 mil against the Texans cap next season.

We also have a lot of money coming OFF the cap from big cuts like Walker and Riley though, dont we?

Grossman not doing well at all. Griese looks a bit better, but not real hot.

Now, many of you have asked about Carr's contract. In March, the Texans gave him $8 million to secure him for three more years: 2006, 2007 and 2008. They were extremely shrewd go exercise the option before the deadline so they could take a $2 million cap hit off the prorated portion of the bonus. That means the bonus is prorated at $2 million in 2006, $2 million 2007 and $2 million in 2008.

Teams don't have to wait until June 1 to get the June 1 benefits of the salary cap. They can't trade or waive two players before June 1 and still get the benefit. The rules say that if you get rid of a player before June 1, everything left on his cap, including the prorated signing bonus, comes out of this year's cap. If you wait until after June 1, only the 2006 portion counts against this year's cap and everything else rolls into the next year.

That means that if the Texans trade Carr, he'll count $7.25 million under this fiscal year's cap -- $5.25 million base and the $2 million prorated bonus. The rest of what he's owed would come out of next year's cap. http://blogs.chron.com/nfl/2006/12/what_to_do_with_carr_is_the_qu.html
