Sage Rosenfels broke his hand and is on the Injured Reserve list. This happened back in November.

I am posting this so that everyone who is crying that we arent starting Rosenfels can "get with the times" :D

For the record, Michael Turner is a RFA, which means we would have to give up a 1st and 3rd round pick to sign him. He has no choice but to sign the RFA tender.

A bit OT, but along the same lines.

Though his broken hand is in a cast, Rosenfels is moving his fingers. I saw it.

Here's a new name to root for: Quinton Porter. Big fellow, I caught passes from him at a Texans clinic and he throws a very catchable ball.

"I want to coach you," said Calhoun last spring. Porter listened and signed a free-agent contract. No big bonus. No assurances except the usual promise of an opportunity.

Mindful of his personal finances and not sure of his immediate future, Porter bought a bicycle to get him from his hotel room in southwest Houston to the practice field. He walked into a Toys 'R Us within sight of Reliant Stadium and picked something cheap.

"I just needed transportation," Porter said. "I paid $60. I wore out the brakes pretty quickly."

Quinton Porter played catch with Kellen Heller. No incompletions. He then threw the ball to Corey Bradford...and get this....Bradford caught it.

Did Bradford blindfold himself too?

C'mon now. This is Quinton Porter, not Jesus.

Why would Kubiak bring in Van Pelt if Porter were able to do the job?

Porter is a rookie and Van Pelt knows the offense more than Porter.

I'd say put in Porter. Look at these backup quarterbacks that ended up being real deals. Tony Romo, Ben Roethlisberger, and Tom Brady being drafted in the sixth (i think?)? We should at least give it a try.
