I really can't see a favorite for the Superbowl so I'm going to go with my best estimate.
We'll re-visit this thread when after the NFC/AFC Championship weekend.
My guess:
Chargers vs. Saints

That's what I think.
Chargers vs. Saints
And BTW, if Reggie wins a superbowl.....Houston might not recover from that for a while....

I'm not sure how that's the same thing....or even similar...

Chicago's gonna be a tough place to win a playoff game.

If the Saints make it to the super bowl, or even worse, win it, the Texans will plummet into the Bowie vs. Jordan thing all over again.
Bush will have a highlight play and we will be scrwed

Chargers vs Cowboys
I think the Cowboys getting their butt handed to them was an anamoly not the norm. Plus, I don't hate the Cowboys like many other Texans fans. I rooted for them for too long to start hating them now. Hopefully Schottenheimer doesn't screw up for the Chargers though like he has in the past.
I think it's the Chargers year.
Bears for the NFC.
Chargers will roll in the SB.

I have to stick with what I called before the season:
Cincinatti vs. Chicago
It's a long shot now, but I can't change my mind halfway through the season. It would just feel wrong.

Meh, I wouldn't exactly call that a longshot. The Bengals are streaking at the right time and the Bears still have the best D and special teams in the conference. Lest we forget that the Super Bowl Champion Steelers from last year were only 8-5 at this point last year. Anything can happen once you get in the playoffs.

Exactly. If anyone's wondering how it could get worse being a Texans fan, there it is. Young against Bush in Super Bowl XLI.

I'll take Chicago (17) vs. San Diego (14).
Championships are won with defense & Chicago's defense is the best.
San Diego's offense is so strong & on a roll. It has too much firepower for even Baltimore to stop them.

Colts-Cowboys, rematch of Super Bowl V..
This is the year the Colts finally pack it after years of frustration after perfect seasons.. I view it as a positive aspect for the Colts that they've expirenced the pain of defeat more frequently than recent times. Going into the playoffs they'll just go out and play like a normal NFL team instead of always having in the back of their heads "we better not screw this up again because we played God-like in the season.. Plus they've got Adam Vinetari.
While the Cowboys is a long shot, they're ready. Parcells will get the team fired up, they'll have momentum after a second round wild-card victory and will be clawing for revenge against the young Saints in the divisionals. NFC Championship vs. Bears won't be a problem.
Outcome--
Colts- 27
Dallas-17

falcons vs. Colts.
I don't care where you are from.... now THAT is funny. I think the Falcons are scared to let Vick go to a SB, because if they lose, he will tear that team apart and blame everyone but himself. Ron Mexico....
Anyways....
No one can stop LT. Chargers for AFC.
Defense wins championships. Bears for NFC.
I pray to the good Lord each night that the Saints will not go to the SB.

AFC Championship: San Diego defeats Baltimore.
NFC Championship: Dallas defeats New Orleans.
Superbowl: San Diego defeats Dallas.
Go Chargers. (Texans in 2008!)
Im saying San Diego beats Baltimore in the AFC Championship.
Chicago beats New Orleans in the NFC Championship
San Diego beats Chicago in the Superbowl

This came up a couple weeks ago, and I stood by my preseason prediction. I can't change now, so Super Bowl is going to be Cincinatti and Chicago. Hopefully the Bengals can take care of the Colts tomorrow night and make a wild card spot.

I feel Chargers or Ravens can go all the way...I don't know about McNair's hand today? stepped on?
Indiannapolis cannot advance far..because of their horrid run defense.
Chicago cannot advance to the superbowl because that would involve grossman have 2 good games in a row.:pigfly:
I like chicago a lot, I really do. but i cannot stand grossman. sorry.
AFC wins it this year...again!

Can you imagine Tennessee continuing to win and it being Titans v. Saints in the SB? Two freaking weeks on the world's biggest stage about how the Texans screwed up.

And Manning chokes in big games, plus I feel the Chargers are a better team this season.

And only a few years ago.....Little Manning refused to play for the Chargers. Chargers have been making some of the best draft deals in recent years. They get Rivers and a 1st rounder for Eli. Probably why they're one of the best teams as of late.

Chargers vs. Bears.
I hate picking the Bears because I have my doubts as to whether Rex Grossman can play well enough for them to win in the playoffs, but then again their in the NFC and they only have to play two home games to reach the Super Bowl. I think the Eagles could end up carrying their recent run of good play into the playoffs and making a pretty deep run thru the NFC, and the Seahawks could pull things together and make a run too. I still don't overly like the Saints but they could make it thru the NFC teams, but with everything going thru Chicago and with their defense I have to pick them from the NFC. I think the AFC will come down to the Ravens and Chargers, whoever wins that game will win the Super Bowl, and right now I have to go with San Diego since they've played so well and are riding a nice win streak plus they have home field advantage. I think the Patriots have a shot at it too, but they're going to have to win on the road in Baltimore and San Diego to get there, and I don't think they're good enough to do that. I don't see the Colts making it thru the playoffs with their problems on defense, and I don't think the Chiefs or Jets are good enough to get there, I doubt either makes it out of the 1st round.

NFC? Who cares the nfc is garbage. Nah seriously, I think Philly- off of their defense, Rex will make them look good by throwing 89080543524352345 picks & the offense will eventually punch 1 or 2. Plus they're streaking at the right time.
AFC Ravens- If McNair can get them 2 TD's, that defense will do the rest. I just don't think the chargers will go just b/c they are the consensus/record-wise best team in the AFC & somehow those teams always get upset (unless your the Patriots). Whomever the Chargers play, they'll sit on LT & dare Rivers to win the game with his arm. Should be interesting. Plus i can't see Rivers in his 1st year starting taking them to the promise land.
Winner? well we'll just have to see now won't we!
