I think it's obvious by now that Carr is not our guy. In the last 7 games he has 1 TD pass 3 INTs and 6 Fumbles. Absolutely rediculous in my opinion.

So what is our best option at QB. I mean do we draft another and have Kubiak tutor him from the get go? Do we grab a high profile guy in FA? Do we trade for a QB?

I know we need a change...I am just not sure what our best option is.

This is hard for me to say. But I must agree. It's over for me now. I have given Carr more than enough opportunities. If you don't believe me, just go read my past posts. I have constantly taken up for Carr as a "Carr Homer". But this game just seals the deal. You can't win when you don't have a QB who can throw touchdowns, or at least run for some touchdowns. Carr has been given plenty of time by the coaching staff. And after all he's been through the past few years, he deserved a full season to prove he could do it. The season is winding down and he is doing nothing but get worse. I just don't understand it. It's a depressing day for me. I commend him. He didn't make mistakes. But the guy just doesn't win.

And the most sickening thing I've ever seen in my life: supposed Texans fans wearing Longhorns jerseys jumping up and down because their boy beat their team......

We need a QB, I kept saying last year that we needed to draft Vince, but just got neg rep. Now maybe they see why after today. I want Peterson, but if Quinn is there, Kubiak might just have to give it some thought. Or that Coog QB in the later rounds(dont know much about him, hardly keep up with small conferences) Ive seen a post about him in the Draft section:poker:

Last 7 games...1 TD pass. You've hung in there longer than I have. I faded out on Carr this year by not renewing my season tix after three years. I waited and waited, but Carr simply doesn't have the skills necessary to be a solid QB in the NFL. I'm just being a realist.
I wish I had a job that paid me tens of millions of dollars and allowed me to perform poorly for at least five years. David Carr may be a really good guy, father, religious person, and have a nice smile, but that doesn't make anyone a QB in the NFL.

Nevermind the fact that Daynes 1 yard td run came off of a pass from Carr.

You can't be serious...he threw a pass that was going nowhere...Dayne caught it and made defenders miss and made something out of nothing.

I think Troy Smith being 5'11" could be the best thing to ever happen to this franchise. We need to find a way to draft him in the second or trade up to the late first to get him. So there's my vote... it's not too late to turn this thing around. No need to dig a deeper hole, time for a change.

Our best option at QB is Carr.

Do you really think that we can land a high-profile QB with our history at O-line? I dont.

I dont see a QB in this years draft that is better than Carr except maybe Kolb.

But the thing about rookies is that you can never tell how good or bad they will be.

I honestly beleive that David Carr isn't a real NFL quality quarterback-- he just "appears" to be one..

David Carr is like one of those knock-off, counterfit Gucci bags you buy off of Harwin Drive.... he looks ok when he is "brand new" but he falls apart over time and in the end... he is a total waste of money....

I don't know I don't like waht I've seen from Troy in college. I loved what Vince showed in college, but I still don't think he should have been our pick. I've always said that our #1 should have been D'Brick. Anyway, if we can get Smith I'd be willing to give him a try. I'd love to have Kolb come in and play. But more then anything I'd like to have a rookie that can come in and start playing good. I have a feeling it's going to be a painful next year too if we have to sit the rookie for a year so he can learn.

I hate that stat cause it's very misleading. There were times when Carr got us to 1st and goal, and we just ran it in. Totally dubious stat that's garnered criticism from a lot of media people.. It's almost as dubious as his high completion percentage. He's had some bad games no doubt, but this stat is not how you gauge Carr's performance. Try watching GAMES, not #s.

Its easy to have a high completion percentage when you dump the ball off every other throw. I'm not sure what games your watching, but DC is NOT a winner plain and simple. He has never shown anything to prove that he can win games, and that is what great players do.

Agree agree. Good point. But 7 games and one TD?!?! I didn't believe it at first but went and looked it up and was astonished. Yes, watching the game is the best way to judge him. But what I would also see over those 7 games is 5 losses and 2 wins. No, those five losses are not all David's fault. I am not placing all of the blame on him. But we lost 28-22 to TEN and one TD by Carr could have meant a win. We lost 14-10 to NYG. One TD could have meant a win, but he did have one rushing TD. We barely won against JAC 13-10. No TDs by Carr. 24-21 to BUF. 1 INT and no TDs and no win. 26-11 to the NYJ. 1 TD and 1 INT but no win. Barely a win against OAK and no TDs for Carr. And we all remember the negative yardage. He was sacked 5 times though. Then today. We lost 26-20 to TEN. No TDs for Carr. One could have meant a win. We didn't get it.
No Carr cannot be blamed fully for our losses. But he also hasn't done a lot the last 7 games to help us win them either.
