No that was around the horn

PTI talked about if the draft were done today who would the Texans take.

ESPN has been waiting to play this piece for weeks...........Reggie just didn't do his part.......regardless they felt that Mario could be a great player, but they did talk about Carr's struggles last week. They talked more about Vince then Bush as the player Houston could regret passing on, but again said if Mario becomes great...it won't matter.

In the end they said all 3 could of been the right choice and all 3 can be great.

If it was anybody but ESPN, Reggie Bushs name wouldn't have been in that
conversation.

Wow...that was quite possibly one of the worst things that I've seen on PTI. I understand saying that he doesn't like Mario, but saying that he was a mistake this early is stupid. I mean come on Justice, you make me embarassed to be a Richard and a Texans fan. Is everyone in the Houston sports media that bad?

His whole segment was practically, "They shouldn't have picked Mario Williams. He might be good, but he shouldn't be here. Basically he sucks. The team is all Carr's fault. Oh yeah, the Mario Williams pick is probably Carr's fault too." Sick. To. My. Stomach.

For the record, I don't liked Justice. He reminds me of Skip Bayless or Peter King. They like to talk to just to hear themselves.

He stumbled and bumbled through that whole interview like an idi**.

"Well uh now it seems since uh teh Titans are winning and Reggie scored 4 TDs dat uh the Texans made a big mistake guys....a derrrrrrrrrrrr."

He does'nt know jack about football and should be run out of town. Where do they find these ignorant fools to write about sports in this town? Tennesse?

We'll see what everyones saying after Mario and Meco tear VY's tall lanky butt in half this weekend!!!!!!

DEMOLISH VINCE YOUNG!!!! GO TEXANS!!!!!!!:logo:

I'm a Longhorns fan and I will continue to support Vince Young 14 weeks of the year each season, even if I can't stand the team he plays for. But when the Titans play the Texans it doesn't matter who you are, I hope you have a horrible game.

I hope this is a great game and I think that we'll come away with another W. After two emotional wins the Titans are due for a let down.

ESPN is nothing but jock riders and hatemongers. All they do is stir the pot.

Has anyone noticed how much they hate on ALL houston pro teams.

Rockets aren't that good, they did a discussion last night and nobody even gave Houston a honorable mention when debating the teams in Texas. Woody even took a team out of Texas over them.

The Texans suck right now.....yes......but have you EVER seen a team ridiculed this much before they even know who was the better pick. I can't remember this much heat. Detroit didn't even take this much heat for taking Darko over Wade. This has already passed Bowie over MJ, regarding press coverage and nobody knows the answer yet.

Back to the Rockets, nobody gave Yao props even when year in and year out he improved his stats, he's been dominating Shaq for well over 2 years now.....still no mention. I seen more props given to Pau Gasol before this year when they finally couldn't call Yao a stick figure anymore.

The Astros are the only team they half way gave a fair shake.

I hate ESPN, I still think they're upset at Hakeem ruining their wetdreams of having Patrick Ewing and the NY Knicks winning a Title. Ever since then Houston is just straight hated on by them.

I would rather they just drop Houston from their vocabulary and not even talk about us........For christ sakes we're the 4th largest city in america and treated like Bumsville, USA.

You need to watch closer... The only one on ESPN that halfway pimps the Astros is (of all people) Peter Gammons... Kruk has never had a good word to say about them (other than Clemens - individually)...

Another thing you forgot to mention is that ESPN can also be found under local listings as the "TO network"........

Well if the fans do come out and boo the Texans and cheer for Vince they are going to air it all over the radio, t.v., and papers and you can bet that if a free agent thinks about coming to Houston they might look back at this game and say to theirself hey they hope their own team loses I do not want any part of that just something to think about.

Also someone needs to drop him a line and let him know he is not part of Vinces crew so he needs to get over him and remove his head from Vinces oops.

I said the same exact thing in another thread.

Beleive it or not, Houston is (or was) an attractive place for FA's to want to come....

Everyone at ESPN except Michael Smith. It is refreshing to see an analyst form his own opinion and get it from the source nonetheless.

My brother and I watched PTI today and then argued for 30 minutes about it. It is funny, in my family the biggest arguments that ever occur are linked to football.

There was one tragic Thanksgiving in the early 80's that devolved into a fight between Cowboy's fans and Oilers fans. Sad sad sad.

I really dislike PTI and Justice. The PTI guys spend too much time talking about the Cubs, Eagles, and Yankees. I hope they both get some form of disease. Justice needs to realize that hindsight is 20/20. For all we know the Texans could have taken Young or St. Reggie and still sucked. To argue about it now is pointless. You play the hand you have.

Ok I know the Texans suck, but they are our team. I am without children (hell for a 24 year old that is a good thing) so the Texans are my kids. No matter what they do I will always love them.

Between he and McClain, you'd think they could come up with a decent thought between them, but alas...no such luck.

I don't watch ESPN anymore unless they're playing a game I want to see...I hate their analysts (except Jaws) and announcers and anchors and just about the whole operation.

Both Justice and McClain attempt to do what ESPN does: spin/fabricate the news rather than report it on a smaller scale via the Chronicle and radio shows.

Why Justice is "reporting" anything about football is beyond me. His credibility as a baseball journalist has been tarnished greatly by some of what he has reported about the Astros recently, as well.

Why do you think Justic's mother named him Richard? So she could tell him "Yup, your a Dick".
