If you listen to what is being said in this, it might make you feel better about the future.

JMO, but it's interesting to note that it didn't take Bum long to win, as he won his 1st year--had winning seasons 5 out of his 6 years, including double digit wins in 4 of those 6 yrs.

Sorry, but I don't see the corelation between Bum's Oilers and today's Texans. The team we have today is all about 'time' and 'right' players in 'right' positions. Bum was known for taking other teams 'rejects' or 'fading' stars and elevating their play to a higher level. He also 'ignited' the fans to a 'high' level of support and 'love' for a team that is still remembered today...empty seats? NOT....and, excuses!!! Bum did not know the meaning of that word.

Nothing against Bum, but what I remember most is that he had Earl Campbell. He did seem like a great motivator though.

You aren't reading directions. I said listen to what is being said. The first part that stuck out to me was him saying that there was a football team but it wasn't a good one.

Prior to Bum coming, The Oilers weren't anything. Then all of a sudden these guys started playing at a level. Kubiak is kind of in that same situation and are team is playing at a different level even if the wins aren't showing it.

Oh yeah and the most important part was about how he put people together that fit the system. I guess that kind of goes to the faded or rejected players but Kube is also getting players that fit the system.
