Some of us feel Owen Daniels needs a good nickname.
I and some of my buddy's already call him "OD", should we stick with this or choose another.

I already scream at the tv ...."that fool got OD'd!!"

haha, i'm going with that one. OD thing makes him sound like a druggie. we'll leave that nickname for UT.

OD is a great default

To throw something out there
Daniels, Owen - Dan O. Bookem' Dan O when he scores a TD.

Bermans's nicknames are getting lame as hell. But I agree Daniels' nickname will come in due time.

He wants to be a weatherman when he retires from football. The paper said he has a degee in Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences (I think that is right term).

I nornally don't think everyone needs a nickname, but he seems to have one of those names where you say or write both Owen Daniels versus just Daniels or Owen. Anyway please don't go to the O.Dan stuff.

How about that TE for the Texans that catches lots and lots of TD's? It's not very short but hopefully it will continue to be a very accurate description.

This one's easy.

From this point forward, #81 shall be known as Dewpoint.

A Badger is a tough SOB. A friend was in a deer stand and shot one with an arrow. Pinned it to the ground. It broke the arrow off and came up the tree after him. Shot hit before it got to him, but they are not friendly animals.

Daniels finished his final game in cardinal and white in style by scoring a touchdown in the first half at the Capital One Bowl against Auburn. Also during the game, ABC commentators gave Daniels a new moniker, “The Weatherman,” that will most likely follow him into the NFL.

“It’s funny,” Daniels said about his new nickname. “It’s good for people who might be interested in a weather guy on TV. They got my name out there, that is for sure.”

After Daniels finishes his football career, he plans to fall back on his degree and pursue a career in meteorology. The Weatherman has already had a number of appearances on local Madison TV stations this year.

“These past [few] years, I would do weather reports for stations here in Madison, as well as game day forecasts, and they were putting them on TV and a lot of people were seeing that, so that’s good,” Daniels said.

OD is okay, but I think playing off of intitials is a little weak. it has been "over-done" (pun intended, by the way). A nick-name doesn't necessarily have to rhyme or come off a person's existing name. After seeing his gritty style of play, I'd say Grit. But hey, what do I know. This is just my opinion.
