Both of these kickers need a new address.

Stanley isn't the one man. Don't let your blind anger rub off on a very good punter.

Stanley has been miserable for the last 1.5 seasons. It is a fluke when he punts over 40 yards.

I'me more po'ed at Kris Brown, he better pick up the pace. I thought he was gonna cost us the game today. Here's to the Texans, the future is bright ladies and gentlemen!

Thanks for this thread. Our special teams have become a liability. For an improving young team we cannot afford to have this aspect of the team shooting us in the foot. Right now we are winning in spite of the special teams.

That Filipovic guy they had in training camp seemed to have a much stronger leg, bring him back.

Brown and Stanley will be gone next season. They are both below-average NFL kickers.

I thought he was a K. He was listed as a K/P last time I checked. Bring him in. Couldn't hurt.

Who, exactly, can replace him?

Me - I'm a better kicker than both our current choke artists.

Memo to TX staff - fly me over, pay my rent, buy me some food and a good bottle of whisky and I'm in. Write it up.

];497357']yeah and the headlines the next day would be. CRAZY TEXAN FAN SUFFERS 3RD DEGREE GROIN TEAR ... and STILL kicks better than Stanley and Brown!"

Fixed it.

I don't know. He doesn't have the strongest leg, but my impression is that Marciano wants Stanley to sacrifice yardage for the sake of hang time to help the coverage unit. While his gross is 30th, his net is 19th in the league.

i disagree. what has he done that has "killed this team?" he really hasnt done anything totally bad. its not like he is consistently shanking balls for 20 yds. (stanley)

Which put him in the bottom half for net yardage. That is a number that can be upgraded.

I see Nigel's already wearing Battle Red. However, his habits may make Rick Smith look towards guys with cleaner rap sheets. He is wiry, though.

Was it The Chad?

Well, Maybe it was The Chad...

It's The Chad.....It's...The..Chad.

Dude is awful.

How do you get his job?

How can I go out and shank punts for 30 yards and get paid like that?

Amazing. He is truly the winner of life's lottery.

Rep comin your way.

That is Stanley's job.

Has anybody ever noticed how little time the returner has to make a move once he catches the ball?

People hate him cuz he cant punt it 45 yds but I'm assuming that the Texans knew this before the fans did.

So they have him hit it high so there is no chance for a return.

The NET PUNTING is the stat we should be looking at (along with punts inside the 20). I dont care if the guy averages 35 yds if that means we will never give up a big return.

Scooter

yes he punts it high to minimize returns, but every punter does that ... it's not a chad stanley exclusive to try and give your coverage guys enough time to stop a return. the only difference is that they consistantly get it 10+ yards farther along with that height. stanley doesnt have a strong enough leg, and i'm positive it wouldnt be that difficult to find someone who does.

and kris brown's terrible. i dont watch much college ball but i'd deffinately spend a draft pick on upgrading our kicker if at all possible.

yep PwerfulDragon sees this, he could probably block a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick while disarming Jack Bauer at the same time

Yeah. I'm getting tired of this too.

I keep trying to see the bright side, but I...can't. This has been a recurrent problem since LAST YEAR!!!

Why is it that our special teams blow so much this year?

First off my Bull Headed Breathren ...:marionaner: congrats on sweeping the Jags this year..WOO HOO...but Houston we have a special teams problem. Our formerly reliable field goal kicker has cost us games and almost cost us another yesterday.

Brown is responsible for missing free money field goals that could have either won us additional games this year or in yesterdays game could have put it out of reach earlier avoiding the need for 4th down rushes.

We need to find a kicker able to make anything under 45 yards on a REGULAR basis.

Just my opinion.

He was reliable once?

One season when he was with the Stealers, maybe. Maybe.
