Carr lost his footing trying to spin and hit Pitts leg. Not really a sack, but still rcorded that way. Kind of like lefties.

Carr had good protection, but held it and was sacked.

I think he fell. I never saw white touch him.

jerek

Henderson was right in his face and it would have been hard as hell to get that to the receiver without it getting tipped. Smart move to pump, but he should have tried to take off or hit Cook on the dumpoff.

Meaning that both QBs fell by them selves. Not a defense sack.

Nice to see Richard Smith opening up the D. Playbook. We are a young team and playing aggressive is very good for us. Right now you would not know that our Secondary is horrid.

Vinny
10-22-2006, 01:03 PM
Leftwich just doesn't impress me...I think they may be a better team with Garrard in there. Garrard is a little Steve McNair-ish...Leftwich is just a big plodder with a huge wind up and a slow release.

Is there any doubt that the addition of Moulds has helped Carr and AJ. BTW just something I noticed Sage Rosenfels is overly important to this team and Carr's maturation. He could end up going the Kubiak route and become a good Offensive coach...

TexasJedi
10-22-2006, 01:22 PM
Ok, not too good on that last series, but still they did not do something stupid just before the half. 10-0 is good, it's not 13-0 or 17-0, but it'll do. Now to just avoid that nasty habit of second half collapses.

Doug

Great half ! If we can just get one more like this we will be on our way . The tam looks to have confidence , and that is something I haven't seen on this team in awhile . The defense seems to be playing with a chip on their shoulder . This is a good thing . :texflag:

That was Del Rio and Chris Hanson

Punter Hanson injured by axe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (Oct. 9, 2003) -- Chris Hanson swung and missed.

No, not at a ball he was trying to kick, but at the wood he was trying to chop.

The Jaguars punter needed surgery to close up a gash on his right, non-kicking, leg after he miscalibrated while using an ax to hack at the massive tree stump that coach Jack Del Rio placed in the locker room a few weeks ago. Del Rio used the stump as a symbol for the mantra he has adopted for the Jaguars (1-4) this season: "Keep chopping wood." http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/JAC/6707084

Well, let's see how we do after that. Hopefully the confidence didn't head to Antartica.

Lewis Sanders is horrid with the ball in the air. He is truly more of a FS than a CB to me.

This... this feels familiar. Where... where have I seen this before?

Up 10-7... and then lost 24-10.
Up 7-0... lost 31-15.
Up 6-3... lost 813-6.

Please... not again.

that had nothing to do with adjustments. they just ran it down our throats. 6 games 5 TDs on 1st drive of second half by opp. offense needs some points.

I didn't expect a shut out, but i think all of us as fans would have liked to see the same defensive intensity to begin the 3rd quarter. This all to familiar with the way the team has been playing. If we come out on offense and go 3 and out, then these boards are going to lite up with negativity.

underdog65
10-22-2006, 01:51 PM
Defense had better step it up or this game is over because our offense once again is falling on it's face. Consistancy is what is needed for the Texans. Two complete halves and a win will come but so far we can only play two quarters. I wonder if it is a conditioning problem that causes our failure during the second half.

10-22-2006, 01:51 PM
Our D showed a bend but don't break mentality on that drive and we would be looking at 10 to 3 instead of 10 to 7 if not for a dumb play by Sanders.

mexican_texan
10-22-2006, 01:52 PM
Taylor with a half yard gain.

Cupps
10-22-2006, 01:52 PM
Next week, I vote that we just stay on the sidelines at halftime. Just stand there. Wait until the opponents come back. Forget going to the locker room. That's crap.

TK_Gamer
10-22-2006, 01:52 PM
i think the anouncer hit on something, pulling gado for a whole quarter and letting him get cold just doesnt make sense. they should have just spelled him with lundy now and then, not sit him on the bench

mexican_texan

Taylor with nowhere to go, Ryans hit him in the backfield.

10-22-2006, 01:54 PM
Leftwich has that massive wind up...that's a huge flaw in his game. He has to have lots of room in the pocket and an extra beat to get rid of the ball...and its a tell for the DB's.

BEERnBBQ

Better series by the D. offense needs to do something with the ball. Maybe the defensive problems in the second half, are caused in a way with a lack of anything offensively in the 3rd. outscored 48-0 for the year

Yeah...but Carr and Young get the ball out fairly quick even though they don't have conventional releases. Leftwich has a big cartoon wind up....watch him the rest of the game.
