Rookie left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson, the Jets' first-round draft pick who drew raves at Virginia, has shown so far that he can physically play at the pro level.

Mentally, though, he's still getting there.

Just rookie mistakes, the important thing is he has shown he can physically play. He'll get it

that's not very suprising, tackle is one of the most mentally challanging positions on the field. the learning curve for most offensive linemen is longer than other positions ... unless of course you land spencer in the third who's so strong it doesnt really matter :muscles:. d'brick seemed pretty bright though so i bet he'll be just fine by next season.

He may be the real deal but then again wasn't Gallery? Hard to know ....

This is to be expected, but it does reinforce that Spencer is way ahead of the curve for a 3rd rounder.

Remeber when we drafted him, most of us were puzzled why we took him with the 1st pick of the third round, and not Winston??

Thats what they said. And so far, all Ive seen of Gallery this season, is him getting beat for 2 sacks within 2 drives before the first stringers got pulled.
