Last 4 seasons
* Peyton Manning – 71 sacks
* Steve McNair – 73 sacks
* Brett Favre – 81 sacks
* Trent Green – 110 sacks
* Tom Brady – 115 sacks
* Donovan McNabb – 122 sacks
* Matt Hasselbeck – 122 sacks
* David Carr – 208 sacks
And we wonder why he is kinda shell shocked! Add in all the dropped passes I question when he will gather himself and look like the QB he has the potential to be.
I say 40 sacks this year

Nobody is disputing that he's shell shocked.
The question is . . is he ruined, or can Kubiak unshell shock him?

It doesn't metter why he is shell shoced............... we all know that he is........ but very few QBs get to be put back together by the team that tore him apart.............. Most feel it would be easier & quicker to cut your losses, & move on to the next great thing.

yeah that is great guys, but do you see an improvement this season. 30 sacks, 40 sacks, 60 sacks 80 sacks?

With the combination of an improved OL, Kubs stressing the importance of the RB picking up the pass-rush, and Kubs insistence that Carr scramble more (run or pass) that we should see an improvement.
But see it more around 30-32. That would still be more than Matt Hasselbeck (122 vs 128) over four years.

As long as we give up less sacks then we make, I'll be happy - within reason.

Carrs best year, he was sacked 49 times...........
I don't know if we want to go much lower than that.....
