Sadly, I didnt get to watch the game live, but via CBS.sportsline.com. I watch them live tomorrow. That being said.

How about our Reggie Bush.. Except his name is Wali, and to me, even better tonight. From what I was watching via stats, he had some great times tonight.

Btw- dont discount our number one pick Mario. Even though he didnt pick up a sack, he contributed to help rattle the line for others to have more man to man.

Folks I liked from stat wise.

Taylor put up some decent stats.
Owen did good.
Sage and Porter make me happier with depth.
but the big news

NOOOOO SSAACCCCKKKKSSSSSS

Most valuable player tonight... O-LINE

I agree with your MVP no sacks is a great start to preseason.

The o-line looked pretty darn good. In fact, first team looked practically unnoticeable, if you get my drift. They still have some work to do, but they are a month out of the season. Wand got lots of reps, which I liked. He and Spenser look really solid. We still had some trouble running up the middle. Overall, well played.

Mario was double teamed a few times, but I think it'll take more than a quarter to get a full impression. Ryans seemed to be making plays, but like I said, it takes more than a quarter to determine the full impact. Here's what I liked though:

I like David Carr rolling out and then passing the ball or rolling out and running the ball. I hope he doesn't run too much though because the more he runs, the bigger chance he has of getting hurt.

I liked that the O-line made no sacks.

Wali Lundy looked very good. I left the game at halftime, but from listening to the radio Chris Taylor sounded very good. He was playing against the 2nd and 3rd string though while Lundy played against the 1st string. I hope Taylor gets to play in the first quarter in one of the next 3 games to see what he looks like. I feel more confident now about our running backs if Davis is injured.

Small criticism though. The first team didn't seem to throw the ball much. Carr threw a couple of short passes to Moulds to start the game and we almost had a big pass to Andre Johnson but it was tipped, other than that though, not a whole lot of passing. I'm sure we'll see more as the preseason goes along though.

True, and that goes hand in hand with what I think was the greatest play.... Bennie Joppru! Stay healthy, boy!

Yup no Sacks is always a good thing.. but the only thing that worries me is that there weren't many blitzes thrown at us and just for the record this isn't one of the better D-Lines in the NFL.. Come on honestly.. we all know that.

BUt nevertheless I reamin optimistic that this was a huge improvement from the previous seasons and I'm absolutely enstatic to see what the reg season as in store for us.. :fans:
