Hey for those Madden players here is a list of some of the guys that they had in the event. Mainly they just covered people of interests and it was a complete waste. Easy way for EA to score some extra cheddar though.

Full Stats from the PPV In Table (The Transfer from Excel went a bit funny, so a few of the names are cut off slightly:

That's a fair assessment at this point, i suppose. we'll have to wait and see how he's rated next year to get a character with more realistic attributes.

I personally think it's funny he's only 1 point slower than Ernie Sims and 2 points slower than Hawk who both ran in the 4.5ish range.

89 speed for Young?! Man I can't wait...

Just a correction Manning does not have 69 speed it is 59. Sorry about that. The one thing that bothers me this year is that the guys at EA have alot of man love for this draft class. Overall it is the highest rated draft class ever in Madden and I think too much of it is based on hype. I am an old school Madden guy and feel that no rookie should ever be over 85 at the drafted position.

I agree. And I'm old "old school", going back to Madden on the Sega Genesis when it came in a green cardboard box (instead of plastic case).

They should never rate rookies that high, because where does it leave room for improvement? Do they think having a player with stats at 100 within a few years of his career is realistic in any sense?

How does Reggie have 97 speed and Vernon Davis has 92 speed when they ran similar 40 times?

They have Winston at 74 and Spencer at 67. Seems weird. Also Mario has 40 awareness, that's like as bad as it gets.

Mario, 75 strength?

WTF?

40 AWR is a bit low. What'd Vince I-can't-spell-my-name-on-the-Wonderlich get?

Looks like our team got a lot of respect this year, overall. Most of the ratings I agree with, offhand.

They officially cut Mario's strength in order to make him reasonable. In order to give him stats according to his workouts he would have been rated 91 coming out, so they cut him, plus they wanted Reggie Bush to be rated higher. I feel slighted, also DC only has 67 spd which is about what I expected, but B-Roth has 70 and I know DC is as fast as he is.

I know. How does Reggie not have a 99 speed I mean he's the best player in the NFL :sarcasm:

Makes sense then, but it's still a load of bullhock. He should have been rated 88ish coming out, straight up. If they had a problem they should weight the awareness more heavily and leave that in the 50s-60s. He's a DE -- doesn't take a genius to think "rush passer."

Mario got screwed on the strength category. It is going to be hard for him to run right through people right now in this game.

TexanFan881

I think the ratings we're pretty mixed, with some players overrated and some underrated. Kevin Walter is way too low. Same with Faggins, considering he even started a few games last year. C.C. Brown was also cut no slack. Flanagan was probably rated too high along with Sam Cowart. Looks like as in every game I'll be moving people around so that they are in the right positions, like Anthony Weaver from LE to DT, Babin and Peek at the opposite instaed of the same end as Mario, and DeMeco into MLB. On an exciting note, Chris McKenzie is in the game this year!
