View Full Version : Odd Years from Even Years!

I was just thinking to myself and i noticed something, odd years have been better to us than even numbered.

1st year ( 4 - 12 )
We were an expansion team, and with all the problems with the o-line and the recievers not being to good we did ok for an expansion team.

2nd year ( 5 - 11 )
Our second year expansion tag was off and this was off and rolling. With an impressive victory to start the year against Miami the Texans looked good. But with a league high 22 Injured players ( I believe that was the number ) the Texans were only able to gain one more victory that season.

3rd year ( 7 - 9 )
This season was suppost to be the year we either A. made the playoffs, or B. finished with a winning record. For winning back to back games this year, and making DC FINALLY cut his hair, it made all Texans FANS very optomistic about the upcoming season. We swept the division rivals except for colts and Andre Johnson was starting to become the beast we know today.

4th season ( 2 - 14 )
The downturn for the Texans, DC looked worse than ever, the defense couldnt stop anybody and the only person who actually looked like he did his job was Chad Stanley. We all know Dom Capers was fired, and CC resigned - fired. But with the new coaching regime and new talent things looks bright for the Texans!

5th season ( ? - ? )
You see anything weird about this our odd number years are better than our even numbered years. On this philosophy alone im expecting big things from our Texans this year!!:redtowel:

It's the Houston Two-Step: two steps forward, one step back.

It's way too soon in our team history to look for seasonal patterns...

Well what if you look at it like 02, 03, 04, 05?

Well what if you look at it like 02, 03, 04, 05?

02 - 10 - odd sum of digits
03 - 11 - even sum of digits
04 - 100 - odd sum of digits
05 - 101 - even sum of digits

06 - 110 - even number of digits??? CRAP!!!

This is obviously proof that Carr sucks. Even Johnny 5 knows it.

Just counting my toes. this piggy went to market, this piggy stayed home. This piggy says Carr throws for 6,000 yds, 40 tds with 6 interceptions and Houston goes 12-4 but misses the play offs. This little piggy says he can live with that but I ain't betting the pig farm. NBA draft tonight. Well, at least that is something to occupy me.

Just like the US and the World Cup.

1990- Granted they were mostly College kids, but still finshed second to last out of 32 teams.

1994- The host team, beat the number 1 team in the world, Columbia. They made the knockout round only to be beaten by eventual champ Brazil.

1998- It gets no worse than this. They did not score and single goal, were beaten by Iran!, and they finished last out of 32 teams.

2002- US Men's Soccer's finest moment. They beat a favored Portugal side, and while they did have to have help in getting into the knockout rounds they beat Mexico 2-0 to advance to the quarterfinals. They were robbed of a goal by Germany's Frings' clear handball on the goal line, which would have meant a PK and a red card for Frings.

2006- A crushing defeat by a good Czech team. The team did play valiantly against Italy, but lost to Ghana and ended the tournament with only 1 goal, the other was an Italian own goal.

So, the US like the Texans should be in for a good showing next time around.

Ok enough futbol, let's get back to football!!

we're gonna have a sub 4 win record because every year we've had jerome mathis, we've had less than 4 wins.
