while for the Texans I think Williams will make a big impact, yet I think Ryans (if starts) will have a good season and benefit from having smith, williams, payne, weaver and TJ rotating in front of him.

Ryans (again if starting) should be roaming free from sideline to sideline

From what I've read (never seen him play), Ryans is the 2nd coming of Mike Singletary. We might have our 1st HOF guy. He's a monster, according to the coaching staff and fans who saw him play in college. I won't bother mentioning is mental aptitude.:redtowel: :redtowel: :redtowel: :redtowel:

None of the above.

DeAngelo Williams for offense and DeMeco Ryans for defense. Neither guys are flashy and neither guys were nationally recognized much, but they make plays and will help out their perspective team more than second-stringers Vince Young and Reggie Bush.

I agree on Ryans, Mario Williams may get it with a high sack total, hard to get defensive rookie as a D-lineman without that. Reggie Bush may get Kick returner if he stays healthy.

You should add Ryans as an option. I would have thought long and hard about that. As it is I had to go with Williams. I think he might be our first HOF. GO MARIO!! GO TEXANS!!!

Vince wont start game one, so not him.
Dbrick is an Olineman: when was the last time an Olineman won MVP or ROY?
Bush will be sharing the backfield with Deuce. He wont get enough yards.
Mario will be a beast, but he wont get enough sacks to be ROY on D.

My pick for ROY on Offense is Deangelo Williams or Joseph Addai

My Pick for ROY on D will be AJ Hawk

Yes, Hawk should have a LOT of opportunity to shine in that division.

Hawk, Sims, and Greenway will all have a chance to shine in that division. I'm hoping Ryans is our Odell. I was up in the Great White North last week and ran across this article on Greenway. It's hard to root against a pig farmer. http://www.twincities.com/mld/pioneerpress/sports/14730319.htm

I like Vernon Davis, Santonio Holmes, and Laurence Maroney's chances on the offensive side.

OROY- Joseph addai is in a VERY good offense and is a very complete back that can run catch and block
DROY- AJ Hawk- will be the shawn merriman of this year

out of the above it probly be mario williams cause he seems to be the one with the most playing time. but in my opinion i'd go with joseph adai for the colts cause their pro WR's will keep the defence honest, and also maybe AJ hawk or dymecco ryans

I like AJ Hawk to win it.

This poll definitely needs more choices. No offensive lineman will ever win ROY and VY will probably not see the field enough this season for consideration. AJ Hawk should be on that list as well as DeAngelo Williams.

HARRYJ

If we are allowed to pick someone not on the poll I would have to go with Bunkley from the Eagles for DROY.

DROY, I voted Williams, and that's not just the Koolaid. I honestly think he has the opportunity to put up Kearse/Peppers like rookie numbers.

Offensively, people have mentioned Davis (I just don't see it ... he's a TE which by default is not a premier position and he's not a good blocker, he'd have to catch 90 balls), VY (doubt it, would have to have a monumental season and I just don't see VY doing that or the Titans particularly putting him in a position where he will look good), Reggie (doubt it, as I have said all along I think he will be good but not as amazing as everyone seems to want him to be, and face it, the Saints will probably still suck) ... I personally see DeAngelo Williams having a stellar year. Great team, proven system, and a beast of a back, can catch as well. Someone else said Maroney, which is quite possible. If I had to call it today, my OROY is Williams or Williams.
