TORONTO -- Ricky Williams looked less like an NFL rushing champion and every bit like a running back less than a week into training camp with a new team.

The suspended Miami Dolphins running back was held to seven yards on four carries in his first CFL game Friday night as the Hamilton Tiger-Cats defeated the Toronto Argonauts 31-3 in the exhibition opener for both clubs.

Only 7 yards in the Canadian league.

In an interview he said that he felt he had a good game lol. Pretty sad. Good luck to him in the future though...

I imagine that Ricky is a lot like Shawn Alexander. They need the first few carries to get going. Then they bring it. Ricky only got 4 carries.

Ricky started his 1st game back from suspension last year with 5 carries for 8 yards. He did just fine after getting back up to speed.

I do not know much about the CFL, but i was under the impression that the field was wider then an NFL field. If this is true is a wider field of benefit to a speed rusher like Willie Parker as there is more chance to break to the outside or does it favor a power back like Bettis as the D needs to cover more ground and will inevitably surrender more field in front?
