Texans | Marciano working closely with K. Brown
Wed, 24 May 2006 12:50:49 -0700

Megan Manfull, of the Houston Chronicle, reports Houston Texans special teams coach Joe Marciano is working closely with PK Kris Brown this season in hopes of helping Brown improve his overall numbers. Three times in Brown's seven-year career, he has connected on 80 percent of his field goals. "He's been a very solid kicker in this league for many, many years," head coach Gary Kubiak said. "And nobody is harder on themselves than Kris is, so I expect him to bounce back and do a great job."

Hopefully we can see a better performance out of Kris this year. Kickers like Adam Vinateri and Mike Vanderjagt have shown how important it is for a team to have a good kicker.

I say bring in some comp for him. That loss to Tennessee was horrible.

Last year his kicks landed us Mario Willams. Hopefully this year they'll get us into the playoffs.

Nothing like putting one in the ladies restroom.

Make those kicks, and we probably still get Mario

Yeah but we could've had a week of celebration.

I don't think Mario would have been available at the 6th pick...

I don't think Mario would have been available at the 6th pick...More like no way he would have been available. Brown needs to be more consistent for a million dollar kicker.
