I don't really care about any other teams...if I had a second best team, it would probably be the Carolina Panthers. Then it is the Chicago Bears (do I really have a choice :)) My worst team is probably the Packers and I don't really like the Redskins as Joe Gibbs left racing to go and coach them (stupid traitor :tv:)

I grew up a 49ers fan during the Montana/Rice days but somewhat lost interest when they let all of their talented players go, then the Texans came into existence. A small part of me would still like to see the 49ers get back to being a playoff team and they are in the NFC so they wouldn't have to compete with the Texans unless both made it to the Super Bowl, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. I also used to somewhat like the Broncos and Chiefs, but since they are AFC teams I can't really root for them.

Popped out in Texas but immediatley raised in NJ it was all the ol NY Yankees Mets baseball a little Giants inbetween until I moved back to Houston Texas at 15. Then it was football all Oilers, Colt 45's-Astros. Coogs. I don't like the new NY Yankees. At 21 I moved to San Antonio. All my family and friends deeply raised in Cowboy country. It rubbed on me and I like them too. I'm so glad the Oiler regime left and became the Texans. Now all I hope for again is Texans AFC and Cowboys NFC and maybe one day each other in the Super Bowl. But my allegiance goes to the Texans. :fans:

How in the hell, do you blow a thirty something point lead, to a backup QB....UURRGGHH...damn spoilers.

I've always enjoyed the annual Governor's Cup. Texans vs Cowboys preseason been to a few and one held in Alamodome one year. Great fun Great game. Did you know there was a time when if the Cowboys lost to the Oilers/Texans at that Cup then the Cowboys went all the way to SB.

I like the Redskins, dont know why...just have for a while. Maybe because they hate the cowgirls? Maybe because of there risk taking?

I also like the Bengals. They have been a favorite since they drafted Palmer. They are headed in the right direction and doing it the right way.

But besides the teams I like, how about the teams I hate? Well, here is my list. I am going to excluded ALL AFC South teams, and the Cowgirls. I want to move this discussion beyond the obvious.

I really don't like the Bills. I never have, never respected them. They have made some bad personel decisions and taken uncalculated risks. I just have never like them.

I also have never like the Eagles. I really dislike McNabb and T.O. when he was there. I also don't like Reid. These are just my personal feelings, and has nothing to do w/the fact we are playing them first, just that I have never like them.

Of course, the TEXANS trounce all, and its not even close. The TEXANS really got me into following football.

2nd - New England

3rd - Tampa Bay

I have supported the Patriots since before the Texans were even thought of. My brother was Pats fan, and he brought me in. I love Bill Belichick, and I liked Adam Vinatieri (I have a throwback #4 jersey).... until he turned into a horseshoe. BTW... I have a #84 jersey on the way here. That's Ben Watson, if you didn't know. I was hysterical when he clocked Champ Bailey in the Divisional game.

I love to watch Cadillac Williams and Mike Alstott run the ball, and hence my liking for the Bucs. They are practically the only NFC team I would watch. BTW... that "incompletion" in the Playoffs was complete BS.

Nowadays I am addicted to the Texans, though. I have a lot of t-shirts that I stole from my Dad, a Texans flag flying on my car, and a Toro towel decorating my dresser. Now that I have a job I think I will order a Mathis jersey (YES!!).

I detest the Cowboys and loathe the Titans. But if they're playing each other, I would rather the Cowboys go ahead and win since the Titans are in our division plus the whole Bud thing. The Titans are the only team I would want the Cowboys to beat. I'd probably root for a team of Satan's minions if they were playing the Cowboys (exaggeration of course).

Depends where I am living at the time. When I lived in New England I cheered for the Patriots. Since I currently live in Chicago, I will pull for the Bears. WHen I move to Denver, I will cheer for the Broncos. I also like the Panthers. However when any of these teams play the Texans, I am soley a Texans fan. In fact I was watching a Bears-Texans game in a Chicago Sports bar where I was the ONLY Texans fan there. All season i had walked in wearing my Jersey and hat and on this day i figured I'd be "with the enemy". However I had a great expierence and even picked up a nickname "The Only Texans fan in Chicago". In fact after the SF game last year, I actually had several people there buying me rounds, patting me on the back, and cheering for me as the "Last and Only Texans Fan in Chicago"!

Texans waaaaaaaaaay up top the most.

Then after a bunch

Greenbay -Briefly lived in Wisconsin.

Vikings-Mom and Grandmother from there. My grandmother referred to them as "Dem Dam Vikinks"--I associate all their Super Bowl losses with her.

Redskins-Briefly lived in Northern VA. It makes my brother happy too because he is a big fan. Not quite so fond of them early in the Dan Snyder era but the Joe Gibbs thing helps with that, as it probably was intended.

Which means I hated the

Cryboys

especially after I moved to Houston and was surrounded by really annoying Cryboy fans.

so I like whoever is playing the Cowturds

And I hate the Flying Meatballs because they made football depressing for too many years and karmically we derserve to see them dissolve into a pile of flaming goo.

so I like whoever is playing the Meatballs

So priority goes with most important first...

Texans
Whatever rootage results in the best W-L/possible playoff scenario for the Texans

then not care much
then
Greenbay
Vikings
Redskins

then whoever is playing the Meatballs
whoever is playing the Cowturd

Whoever is playing a divisional opponent, and if they are playing each other I usually root for the better team to lose but it is hard for me not to want the Meatballs to lose and rot. Actually I root pretty hard against divisional opponents, but it is more of a logical hate than a full-on loathing.

As for the other teams, I have ones I kinda like because of various reasons so if I'm looking at a scoreboard, I sorta like it if they win or lose:

Sorta kinda want to win:

Pittsburgh--cuz of a friend and I like the way they do their bidness. Used to despise them with the fire of a thousand suns but now I respect them and am kinda nostalgic about them as it relates to my prior hatred and good reasons for that sort of thing.

Panthers--friend likes em a lot. When I see their success as an expansion team after hearing their travails over the years from my friend, it makes me think what the Texans might be. (Coach Fox, BTW, hordes DEs).

Denver-like the way they do their bidness and friends like em a lot

Bears--have a friend that likes em a lot. He invited me to his Bears Birthday party--great seats, airfare and hotel for a group of people. I had to miss it because of a company BS retreat that couldn't be skipped. Totally sucked to miss that for the worst company thingy you could possibly go to unless you are easily amused by your bosses being drunk and saying really stupid things.

Pats--I like the way they do their bidness.

Sorta kinda dislike (not enough to wax dispassionately about em):

Raiders-I don't like the way they do their bidness.

Bills- I have friends who like em but they ruined one of my days in my life really bad in a way I will never get back.

Simple.

I got into the NFL back in the 1980's because of Walter P but for some reason could never really follow the Bears. I always rooted for the Bengals and Seahawks. I was hoping the Seahawks would win the SB last year......

I'm quite happy if the Panthers and Patriots win - as long as they're not up against the Texans. I actaully think that the Panthers will win the SB next year.

I have always disliked the 49ers and think its really funny they are so bad. Dont like the Rams, Steelers, Falcons, Dolphins, Redskins either. Or the Bucs, or the Vikings. Not fussed about the Titans. Not a fan of the Jags and cant wait for Mario to trample all over Peyton Mannings smug little face.
Now when I first started watching the NFL the teams in England that most people supported where Redskins, Dolphins, 49ers and I didn't want to follow the crowd.......

edit how could I forget the Cryboys....?

I don't know, my guess is that the Panthers are just the "perfect team" or that many people in H-Town are from NC.
