All I am looking for in this game are quality reps out of Payne, and a great start by the first team offense. If our 1st teamers out perform theirs, I'll be happy.

If our starters are only playing one series I would not expect much. We will probably be lucky if we can get a field goal.

This marks the third consecutive year these teams have closed the preseason against one another. Last year, the Bucs won 34-3 in Tampa. Two years ago, Tampa Bay won 17-13 here in Houston.

from the chronic yesterday:
Simms has helped the Bucs to a 2-1 record by completing 36 of 51 passes (70.6 percent) for 359 yards. He hasn't thrown a touchdown pass — neither has Johnson or Griese — but he also hasn't thrown an interception.....

...Johnson will start against the Texans but play little. Griese will replace him. Simms will play much of the second half.....

..."It's something we worked hard on in the offseason," Simms said about rolling out. "Coach likes to use me that way because I can run for some yards if nothing's there, and I like to do it, too."

Simms might try to show some of that mobility against the Texans. After all, he has to impress his buddies in Austin....

It's gonna be up to our second team defense to decide I believe.

Hmmm let me make my guess.....bucs 18 texans 9. :rolleyes: that game sucked ! Atleast noone was injured and seth looked good !

That is a FACT. I remember when we got him and man was there a lot of wailing and nashing of teeth about his record at the Steelers. Those folks couldn't have been more wrong. Very glad we have him. He is good for 3+ wins all by himself.

The NFL logo on his neck is blurred as well. My best guess is that if it's a fan site then they may not have had the authorization to use the NFL logo and/or the Inagural Season logo and blurred it just to be safe. Either that or the guy on laundry duty that day used some seriously strong detergent.
