Here's a scenario that I hadn't considered before.

I've heard a lot of draft experts/morons/whatever on tv and radio talk about LenDale possibly falling out of the first round, just because he didn't do much on USC's pro day, and because he gained like five pounds, which is a joke.

I've seen LenDale play, and the kid just has flat out talent. If he loses stock because of his attitude, I think he could be the Randy Moss of the draft, where he makes everyone who passed him up look like idiots.

If for some reason LenDale does indeed fall to the early second round, think about this. Instead of taking Bush in the first round, and O-line in the second, we could trade down and get Ferguson in the first round, and LenDale in the second.

Either way, we still get O-line and a RB. But with the LenDale scenario, we get the perks of trading down the first pick as well. Plus, I'm not totally convinced that Reggie Bush will have a better pro career than LenDale White. He may not have the flash of Reggie, but he gets TDs at will, gets short yardage at will, and can drag defenders with him.

Anyone else that would be okay with this scenario if it happened?

I'd be fine w/Fergueson but not so fine with white.

The main reason we will probably take Reggie Bush is because we feel he is the BPA, not because we need another running back. If we take D'Brick in the first round, look for secondary help in the second. If we take a running back, it'll be the second third pick at best, most likely second day.

I have never been that high on White anyway, but the only joke was how pathetic his workout that day was, and how poor his general work ethic, and attitude is. I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole. Oh, and as for your scenerio, keep dreaming.

white wasn't that good before gaining the 40 pounds and embarassing himself at his pro day. now he has a poor work ethic to go with that? he shouldn't even be a 2nd rounder.

I wouldn't take LenDale White with the 4th round pick.

The guy admits he has work ethic issues. He couldn't even get motivated to get in shape for his fricken pro day for God's sakes! Do you think that issue will get any better once he get's a big fat contract in his hands?

For you UT folks, this is Mike Williams all over again. Super talented offensive lineman taken by Buffalo with the 4th overall pick, and he was a bust because he was lazy. He got by a UT on talent alone, but was lazy there, too!

LenDale White is stupid! That's the only word that describes him the best.

Not big on this scenario at all, I'm not real big on Ferguson and if we're not getting Bush then we better get Mario Williams. LenDale White should be a fine RB but he doesn't add much to the team that we don't already have, just another solid, not-especially-fast RB (granted he is better than Domanick, but he doesn't have amazing speed like Bush and doesn't bring that kind of versatility to the offense). I also really don't think LenDale will fall to the 2nd round, I think there are still plenty of teams later in the 1st round that really like White and are all hoping he now slips to them after his recent pro day mishaps.

I use to think White was a better pro prospect then Bust, but no longer. With his showing at pro day, I'm thinking White is the next coming of Ironhead Haywood who basically ate his way out of the NFL.

White must be extremely slow. ESPN story on him says he has NEVER been clocked in the 40. NEVER. Not even in high school. What is he afraid of?

I am, anything that gets Brick on the team I'm for. Some one will Take LW in the
second. How many TDs did the Guy have ? I 'm not saying he's a bargin there. But someone will take him on his college production. Outside of Bush, everytime one of these pundits starts talking about a USC guy, the words " inconsistant motor" keep poping out. Must be a conspiracy or something. Look, yeah you can find OL latter in the draft and FA. But sooner or latter this team has to bite the bullet and get some day one tallent on the lines. Now I can't argue about Bushes potential. But sometimes potential don't feed the bulldog. We'll see. All I know is Brick will anchor the line for a very long , long time. But if Kubes and Sherman are stinking genuses, I gotta yeild to the coaches. Just hope they're correct.

I rather take winston justice and reggie bush, instead of D'brick and Lendale White. Both Bush and jusstice fit the Zone Scheme Better.

So would I but we don't have any extra top 12 pick...and Winston Justice ain't slippin out of the top 12-15. Eric Winston will be there more than likely.

Draft day is just a single day. This year it seems to have caused more problems for draftees. I think Lendale will do fine in the NFL, even if he has a bad work ethic. The NFL has a history of finding ways to circumnavigate personality flaws.

Actually the Draft last two days.

With Lendale slipping I think he will fall into Carolina's lap and they will gladly take a big back with less mileage on him than most others. The kid is lazy and not very bright, but he has a nose for the endzone and that will inspire Fox to make the call on White soon as his pick is up. Deshaun Foster cannot stay healthy and who are you really going to go with Nick Goings or second year guy whatever his name.

dude i have to say i would agree... not only because im a d-brick fan but because it makes sence...DD is a back that is good enough to get first and second down yardage, with white in on third down and red zone (goal line) our touchdown numbers would sore.Brick is the best o-line prospect since orlando pace and would upgrade the line so you can move pitts back to guard. i think there is no point in taking bush because we already have a 1000 yard rusher and if you add white he could possible be like jerome bettis at the goaline and the best thing about him is that he doesnt fumble.

I wouldn't like it. Ferguson would be value, but Mr Man Boobs I wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Unless he has been very wrongly represented by the media and commentators I don't like his ethic.

At least someone sees it.

I have to say people who think LenDale isn't worth drafting are absolutely out of their minds, or they're never seen him play.

He has set TD records at the university that has produced more elite NFL RBs than anyone. More than OJ Simpson, more than Marcus Allen, more than Reggie Bush, more than all of them. He buldozes D-lines. He is automatic on short yardage. His "terrible pro day" is greatly exaggerated. First off, USC pro day isn't even the combine. It's pro day. Nobody cares about it. Secondly, he didn't work out much at pro day because he had a minor hamstring tear, not because he's lazy.

When LenDale White becomes an NFL superstar, I'm going to reference this thread and say "I told you so."

All Ive got to say to that is .... Its 4th and 2 with the National Champoinship on the line ...And the guy got STUFFED ....

I dont want White , He's got a torn hammy .... (Joppru) ..... and I dont care for his work ethic one bit . You dont come to the combine or pro day over weight and out of shape , that is just pure ignorance . If the guy cant get it together for arguably the biggest day of his young life what makes you think he's gonna get it done every Sunday in the NFL ?

I'd be fine w/Fergueson but not so fine with white.

I know I would like the extra picks, and a great OLman, but I think that we should take more of a speed running back in the draft, if we can do that then I wont be too mad if we pass up on Reggie.........or Mario!

I mean we could take players like

Thomas Howard if he drops to the early second and with the picks that we get for trading down we could even get Mathias Kiwanuka.

So all in all, I really dont mind trading down......But NO LenDale White. We already have a 3rd down back. Dominick Davis!!!
