View Full Version : "Houston will get 'a new face for the franchise' when it chooses Bush"

"Four-year veteran quarterback David Carr, the top overall choice in the 2002 draft and the first prospect ever chosen by the Texans, has never quite embraced the role as franchise pitchman. As good as Kubiak is, and as well received as he has been, the longtime NFL assistant doesn't qualify as a quote machine. The team's few other stars -- tailback Domanick Davis, wide receiver Andre Johnson and cornerback Dunta Robinson -- are polite young men but perform better on the field than in front of a Minicam. In Bush, the Texans will have a burgeoning star as adroit at identifying camera angles as he is finding cutback angles."

ESPN story by Len Pasquarelli about what Bush would bring to the franchise besides being an outstanding football player on the field.

VY seems like a guy that could be a face of the franchise also.

A lot of personality, outspoken, charismatic etc.

Not preferring one to another just saying.......

I've always liked Dunta's responses in interviews, I think he has the potential to be the face of our D, and T. Johnson got comments on his quote making ability the moment he met the Houston press. Our offense could use a little star power though, hopefully if we draft Bush he puts up the numbers to get some airtime on ESPN.

Nah but it does help us get national recognition, which in turn leads to better broadcast crews and, eventually, back to prime time.
