Two days after interviewing with the Raiders, Mike Martz pulled his name from consideration for Oakland's head coaching job and is now contemplating whether or not to join the Detroit Lions' staff.

Martz is talking to the Lions about becoming their offensive coordinator and will attempt to make a decision no later than Monday.

Sounds good for the Lions. Should get their offense going. They have a lot of young recievers and I think they will do very good under Martz system. I dont see them getting into it real fast as there is a lot to learn under his offense.

The Lions definitely need an offensive guy to take over. They've got too much invested in their skill players not to take advantage of that. It will be interesting to see how martz and Millen get along. This should be Millens last chance at hiring a coach.

He's already got his HC in Marinelli, dont know how thats gonna work out. But i think that Martz would be the best choice to take over their offense. I dont really see anyone running the Lions offense better than he did. Hes got receivers, a decent running back who had an off year and a quarterback that if he is in the right situation should be able to succeed. I'm just happy we dont have THAT quarterback.
