As much as a VY homer McClain is I did find this informative with pros for Bush and Young. I don't think the quotes by other team officials are made up. There was also an article today that mentions Sherman maybe coming here as Offensive C.

In that first article, wonder why McClain was talking so hard to Jerry Gray......hmmm

Two coaches will follow him from Denver. Troy Calhoun will be the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Jim Ryan will coach linebackers.

Former Green Bay coach Mike Sherman might be the assistant head coach/offensive line. Sherman coached the offensive line at Texas A&M (1992-93) when Kubiak was A&M's running backs coach. Kyle Shanahan (receivers) and Brian Pariani (tight ends) will be part of Kubiak's first staff.

If they can get out of their contracts, Arizona linebackers coach Frank Bush and Miami assistant Richard Smith will be co-defensive coordinators.

Holdovers from Dom Capers' staff will be Jon Hoke (defensive backs); Joe Marciano (special teams); Dan Riley (strength and conditioning); and Ray Wright (assistant strength and conditioning).

Troy Calhoun as OC? If that is the case it better be Sherman as Oline coach.

I certainly hope not, maybe Denver won't let him go.

This is the first of the hirings, atleast reported hirings, that I've had serious misgivings about.

I'm completely lost in that respect.

Is there really a chance that Mike Sherman would come to this team? If so, what a Mother Load of winning tradition that'll be coaching our team this year. :yahoo:

You.....that lost me as well. So let me get this straight, Have the Former Green Bay Head Coach as Offensive lines coach but Calhoun as OC.... Then again, that article did say that Sherman would be Asistant Head Coach.

Not only that....but the Broncos site has him mentioned as still being employed by the Broncos. Then I don't know who it was that said it but Calhoun fired was thrown out there.... http://www.houstontexans.com/fan_zone/messageboards/images/smilies/headscratch.gif

Troy Calhoun will quickly rise to one of the best and most creative OC's in the NFL. He's an outstanding pick by Kubiak.
