Reeves is writing some notes right now I bet.

This is exactly why Carr has not been benched this season. I never thought I would say this about Banks of all people, but now we see what an NFL QB looks like. Me and Wonger don't look like hater's now, do we??? We were just stating the facts!!!

Capers and Cass didnt want a QB Controversey and now they got one!!!

David Carr 1st Half
4/11 for 23 yards

Tony Banks
2/3 for 56 yards... in less then 2 minutes.

Marcus
01-01-2006, 06:09 PM
Ain't it funny how that lack of a supporting cast can make a QB look bad?

And as I'm typing this, he throws his first career TD pass in 150 attempts. Couldn't have happened against a 'better' team.

And Carr gets yanked.

And watch Banks light it up in the 2nd half. :bomb:

Oh please GOD! No!

Texans86
01-01-2006, 06:09 PM
Banks had a good drive, heck a great drive, with help from Bradford actually catching the ball, but let's not label him our new franchise quaterback please. Give him one more drive.

Banks found the mismatch.....Carr would have thrown the dump pass.

On one drive Banks out did Carr's entire 1st half...BRILLIANT!!!

I blame the coaching staff on this.. In 4 years they have never pulled Carr when he was struggling so Banks could go in and get some game film on this offense in gametime situations.. just to give Carr something to study

aj.
01-01-2006, 06:10 PM
Carr throws down the middle zero times all season and Banks throws it twice on his first three throws? I know the 9ers were in Dime but wtf? Shows what poor field vision Carr has if nothing else. Yeah, give him the bonus.

Was Capers 5 year plan to play Banks next year? Rofl

TEXANS84
01-01-2006, 06:10 PM
You know what, you've got to credit Bradford with that one. That was a poorly placed pass that was lucky it wasn't intercepted. If a DB had of been on him instead of Peterson, the results would have been different.

Still, a TD is a TD. I'll take it however we can get it.

I blame the coaching staff on this.. In 4 years they have never pulled Carr when he was struggling so Banks could go in and get some game film on this offense in gametime situations.. just to give Carr something to study I've been saying that the only difference between Carr and Harrington is that Carr has never been pulled. That idea doesnt look so stupid now, does it????

OzzO
01-01-2006, 06:11 PM
Wow, I have some questions actually raised now concerning Carr... unless that was just coincdence? (Obviously, not fully converted to anti-Carr). It'll be an interesting 2nd half.

Wonder if there will actually be some QB competition in the coming offseason or the following offseason....

Don't get too excited about Banks, he'll probably throw an INT or fumble on this drive if Pendry lets him pass at all.

But it is amazing that there were receivers open in the middle of the field. Is this the first time in 16 games or is Carr as bad as I think he is?

disaacks3
