Because Reeves is looking over everyone's shoulders, the Texans will pull together and win this game - that being easier than polishing a resume.

I think you are right....but I see the score being higher than that.

I just want them to win so we don't get stuck with the first pick. An entire off-season of nothing but Reggie Bush would make me wretch.

I'm heading out to the game here in a few minutes. What a great day for football - do you think Reeves will have some input into the Texans' roof open/close procedures? We still haven't worked all the kinks out of that yet.

I'm outta here shortly as well but too hungover to tailgate :crying:

If the report was accurate and Reeves had input to close the roof in 50 weather, it will be the first of many wrong decisions.

So maybe Morency gets a few more touches and they may try to feature AJ a little more? That might be two good things.

I knew you were joking, I was just playing along.

Having said that, closing the roof is still a bad call. Keep it open in 90+ but to close it when it's 50 and beautiful.... Makes no sense.

That would definately be a good thing to see. I've been wanting to see him get 15 to 20 touches a game over the last games of the season so we get a feel for what we've got in him.

We actually go for it on 4th and 1 and we hand it off to a guy lined up 7 yards back instead of a QB sneak? Pulling out all the stops today!

The DT over RG shifted left and was over McKinney, Carr didnt notice and that tackle blew up the play. That's the time to audible to the right.

he audibles right and they shift right. (see Baltimore) The fact is the oline can't get it done, we've seent that many times this year. They wouldnt shift completely right, thats the thing. They would have been in normal formation insteaded of shifted so the O-line doesnt have an overload on one side. You can even fake audible just to get the d-line to shift where the DT isnt over McKinney. And if they dont shift after he audibles, all Wells has to do is follow the RG because no one was over him.

Vinny
12-18-2005, 12:31 PM

FUMBLE!!! Swinton coughs up the rock. This is not a team trying to give games away. The Texans are playing very well today, with the exception of our pass defense.

In all honesty the Cardinals have been insanely effective in their passing game this season. It's them being REAL good more than it's us sucking.

It's interesting to me that once they let Carr do more of his own play calling (not all of it) they play better and seem to have more of a rythyem on offense. Go figure....of course no one on the board has EVER suggested that was needed.

Well, the Cards D is terrible. And I'm not sure too many of us believed he is capable of doing such a thing (probably because of his inability to read defenses). And he hasn't really been throwing anything other than short passes and letting the WR's work the rest on their own.

They're playing better because the feel that they're under scrutiny and need to perform their best to save their jobs AND because the Arizona Cardinals are at least as lousy as we are without Warner.

It's a combination of things really.

I like how Davis is the running back who "would be" a franchise back if it wasn't for the fact that our line stinks but Wells and Morency can replace him in a heartbeat with no dropoff. Arent' the Texans lucky to have three franchise backs instead of just one? Impressive.
