...please don't laugh yet. I understand we have the worst team, and the Texans hopefully don't want to embarrass themselves. I feel there will be a different attitude heading into this game. It was shocking to see the Rams get to a 17-0 lead at Indy's home. I'm looking for somehthing crazy like that to happen in this game, even if it only lasts a quarter. I'd like to see us score first for once...and take a 3-0 lead. Then lose it on the next possession.

I still love this team and won't give up on them like everyone else has. Just like many other Texans fans, i'll be there when the team's record is 1-15 and when they will eventually go 12-4. or 13-3?

Quick trivia question

Have we had the lead this year at any time?

The answer is NO!

Vinny,

The answer is NO!Correct! The closest we have come to a lead is tying the Bengals at 10-10. We have had the lead in a game the grand total of zero seconds this year.

Let's just hope we can mark off another "the Texans have never done that this year" task. Last week, it was the turnover. This week, maybe a lead. And at some point, hopefully sooner than later, a WIN!

Are you being facetious? We haven't scored not one point in the first quarter. You can't continiously spot teams points and expect to come from behind every game and win it!

Can't win a game when the coach calls the same 3 plays.
No trick plays.
No huddle or 2 minute offense-never seen it here.
Defense doesen't blitz

Yes we can, but not by playing the game plans we have been playing. To beat the Colts you must get an early lead and keep Manning off of the field. You must slowly move the ball down the field and eat up the clock. You have to beat them with your return game. I also think you have to let Carr call his own plays and go no huddle like the Colts do. You have to mix up your defenses at the last minute and you need to blitz but not on every down. In other words we must become unpredictable offensively and defensively. You must do whatever it takes to upset Manning. He has shown a temper and can loose his cool. I'm not talking about playing dirty, but rather irrating him when he starts talking to the officials. An awesome sack or two wouldn't hurt either. He hates that with a passion and gets on his O-line. When St Louis got to them in the 1st qtr, Manning made mistakes and the field goal kicker even missed one. Manning had trouble getting into rythm. They have had it all their way and I simply think they love to be the front runner. Their defense likes to T-off when they have a lead. May be it would be nice to give them some of their own medicine. Our strength if we have one is our kicking game and our return game. Over all they have a better kicking game. We must get some breaks out of the return game and Mathis and Armstrong have to play and get some receptions as receivers if we are to have a chance. DD seems to always get his yards and its the other parts of the game that we need to get some good play out of.

Maybe we will win the toss and kick a field goal. For our only lead of the game.

We do need to win the toss and make the most of it................Knowing Capers he would choose to play defense first.

Not true Harry, Capers :homer: would not be able to make a decision! He would stand there with his mouth open, looking at his little notebook, trying to decide, do we recieve or should we kick. Maybe we could run DD left. Wait, can Carr be sacked on a kickoff?

He would probably throw his red flag on the field and challenge the call.

I agree w/ Nerf Herder. Win or lose I'm gonna support my team. **** the Colts and their undefeated record, right now. Our team is the lone winless team in the league, AH WELL. It's Battle Red day tomorrow, Astros play game 2 tomorrow - after which I hope they will be up in the series 2-0; Rockets play tonight - preseason, but they are still playing. My point is.... GO HOUSTON!!!!!!

Anyone else notice how few times Capers gets a challange right? Last year he got something like 2 out of 20 calls overturned....
somethig else he can write down in his notebook "look at replay before challage" :brickwall

Any given Sunday. However, it certainly will be an uphill battle to beat the Colts, but Ill certainly be rooting for your team.

Good luck this Sunday.
