Ouch!!! So ultimately Miami gave up a 2nd and a 6th to get a Lemon (had to be done) and an undrafted one at that.

I guess our potential 6th round pick was better than Fonoti.

Shoot I would think we could have done a pretty convincing sales job at this point that our 7th rounder was higher than the Vikings 7th rounder.

Fonoti woulda been worth at least a 5th in my opinion. The guy is lazy and often hurt, but when he's on, he's on.

Chargers | Feeley not in Team's Long-term Plans
Wed, 19 Oct 2005 19:43:08 -0700

Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports newly acquired San Diego Chargers QB A.J. Feeley does not figure in the team's long-term plans. When the Chargers traded QB Cleo Lemon to the Miami Dolphins, what San Diego really wanted back was the Dolphins' sixth-round pick, not another quarterback. It's as if Feeley was the throw-in to complement the sixth-rounder. Feeley is scheduled to make $3.5 million next season, $4.5 million in 2007 and $5.5 million in 2008. San Diego does not intend to pay that much to Feeley, nor does it even know if it wants Feeley around beyond this season.

Ouch--so coach, I was the lagniappe on a 6th round pick? Thanks for the ego boost.
