Ive read on a couple of message boards that the Titans are close to agreeing with the Vikings on a deal that trades Chris Brown to the Vikings for Michael Bennett. Has anyone heard anything else on this or if it is true? Also, I think the Vikings would get a draft pick of sorts if I recall.

I have read that the Vikings may be shopping Bennett because there offense was fine without him last year and he may be able to bring some defensive help in a trade, but I doubt he goes to the Titans. The Titans dont have enough cap room to trade a player that was picked in the third round for a player picked in the first.

And wouldnt you think the Titans would be scared about players that have foot problems. First it was Kearse with a bad foot, now one of their rookies that was suppose to replace Kearse broke his, and Bennett missed last year with a bad foot.

I doubt that there is much validity to the rumor. From what I've heard the Titans are pursuing A. Smith the former Patriot. I have no doubt that Fisher and the Titans aren't too happy with their backfield, but they still have Holcombe and Brown. As for the Vikes, it doesn't make much sense to trade away Bennett even though they have two other high quality RBs, and pick up a 3rd round RB who hasn't shown much. The Vikes still have an open roster spot, and if all they wanted was depth at RB they could pick up a free agent w/o having to release or cut or trade anyone. The trade would make more sense if the Vikes got a quality MLB in return for Bennett. That is a spot where they are in need of some depth.

I'm with Fiddy on this one. I seriously doubt TN can get Bennet under the cap. I think Minn will try to move Bennett. They are deep at RB. Bennet could attract some nice offers. O. Smith will come on strong this season. I could see Bennet going to NYJ with Martin getting a little long in the tooth.

A. Smith has signed with the Titans.

So I dont think the Titans are looking at Bennett. Also the Vikes seem to be doing great at running back by committee. But if the Vikes did want to move him, I think it would be for D help. IMO

No, not true. The team is ready to face the training camps, as they are, just with the addition of former Patriot, Antwoin Smith.

We are covered and ready.
